This year is going to be a little bit about downsizing. Here's why:

• Downsize 'stuff' ready for moving abroad 🇫🇷
• Downsize negative emotions - less drama and more happiness 😊
• Downsize food shopping and chuck less away (already pretty good at this)
• Hard one - downsizing friends. I've lost a couple this year as over time, our paths have changed. It's not always true that you can pick up where you left off
• Downsize social media quotes/advice - I've paid far too much attention to these this year 🤦‍♀️

Today I learned about the Future Library, a project commissioned by Scottish artist Katie Paterson.

There's a forest in Norway which was planted in 2014 and in 2114, it will be cut down. Each year an artist is asked to submit a work which will be printed as part of a 100 book anthology using the wood from the forest. Until this time, the works will remain a mysterious secret.

The certificate that each author will receive is displayed at the University of Hertfordshire and is truly beautiful.

What do you understand about 'Inclusive Communications'?

For example, people with Dyslexia struggle to read BLOCK CAPITALS - so while they might be a wonderful design feature, don't put these anywhere that they might become an issue.

How does your foreground colour (text) sit against the background? Using a colour contrast checker, you can ensure that your design colours don't cause someone with a visual impairment to literally, glaze over!

This kinda stuff is second nature to me now, so I can guarantee it'll be included in whatever work I do for you.

It's all about the audience.

The other half of our life is Brothers Lake France.

We've had this place since 2014 and spent an inordinate amount of time cutting the grass there alone... Most of us have a lil' dream or two (both in the same night if you're sleeping mega deeply!) and for us, it's to see the fishes grow and the peoples come and fish for them.
