Yesterday’s Eco Jewellery Workshop at The Scene Academy was a huge success!

From discarded materials to one-of-a-kind earrings, pendants and accessories, our participants turned imagination into wearable art and proved that creativity has no limits.

HELP SHAPE A NEW COMMUNITY PROJECT

Have you ever moved to a new area and found it difficult to meet people, make friends, or feel part of the community?

At The S.C.E.N.E Academy, we're exploring the development of 'Creative Connections'- a welcoming new initiative designed to help people connect through creativity, conversation and shared experiences.

Whether you're a newcomer to the area, a long-time resident, a remote worker, a parent, a creative soul, or simply someone looking to meet like-minded people, we'd love to hear from you.

Our vision is simple:

Arrive → Connect → Belong → Thrive

Before we move forward, we're carrying out a short community survey to better understand local needs and interests.

Today at The S.C.E.N.E Academy we hosted our Makeup Masterclass, and what a wonderful session it was!

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and engaged so positively throughout the workshop. We hope you found the session informative, inspiring, and helpful in building your knowledge and confidence around a simple everyday makeup routine. 💄

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to our talented makeup artist Jiovel Pianar Sarino , whose professionalism, expertise, and patience made the session such a success. Special thanks also to our incredible model Klaudia for generously giving her time and helping to demonstrate the techniques throughout the class.

As a community organisation, we are proud to provide opportunities like these free of charge. We kindly ask that if you register for a future workshop but can no longer attend, please let us know in advance. This allows us to offer your place to someone on the waiting list and ensures that these valuable opportunities can benefit as many people as possible.

Today at The Scene Academy we had another wonderful afternoon at Cross Stitch and what a lovely session it turned out to be.

There is something incredibly special about gathering around a table, slowing down, sharing stories and creating together — one stitch at a time.

From first stitches to beautiful progress on everyone’s pieces, it was wonderful to see creativity, concentration and encouragement flowing throughout the room. These sessions are becoming so much more than crafting; they’re becoming a space to unwind, connect and enjoy mindful time together.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and brought such a warm and welcoming energy to the session — and of course to our facilitator for guiding and inspiring us throughout.

We cannot wait to continue watching these beautiful creations come to life over the coming weeks 🩵✨

Ready for Tuesday's Cross Stitch 🥰

First wire wrapping session = officially obsessed

Today we joined our very first Wire Wrapping Workshop at The Scene Academy in Lanark… and are genuinely amazed by what was created in just one three-hour session 🤍

From never touching wire wrapping before to walking away with these beautiful handmade crystal pendants - every piece turned out completely unique and full of personality. It’s such a lovely reminder that creativity doesn’t need years to begin… sometimes all it takes is the right teacher and a little encouragement.
Huge thank you to the incredible Luna Aura Handmade Jewellery - truly born to do this ✨

The patience, guidance and passion made the whole experience feel so welcoming and achievable for everyone in the room.
Seeing everyone focused, creating, helping one another and proudly wearing their finished pieces at the end was honestly the best part 🩷

And the good news… we’re doing it again!
