So a few months back I met these fellas. They run a business , and I ask them about it. I get this full on answer about why BJJ is just so good.
The way they talked about it was so honest and inspiring and motivating, it got me intrigued.
Firstly, I knew I'd love to market their business through . When you get that much passion in business owners, they're a joy to work with, and working with these two lads in just this short time has been nothing but a pleasure, as I suspected it might be.
Secondly, I started to think about going to BJJ myself. 10 months after my third baby, mid 40s, never done it before.
Was I fit enough?
Did I even have the guts to walk into the session?
For my first session, I just said a quick bye to Dan and kids, no excuses, just get in the class and see how it goes.
I knew after my first session I loved it.
I couldn't grip anything for two days, I had bruises and pains in random places, but I felt so good after the session.
A totally unexpected benefit was this total clarity of thought I seem to get after. I feel like I know what needs to be done on stuff that's been stressing or niggling me.
I don't know if that's a thing, but it has happened after each session for me!
I needed a top to wear under my gi and I only wanted to wear as I'm really grateful to have met the lads, been motivated by their passion for the sport, and for the opportunity to be their marketer.
And I got my gi tonight and I feel proper ninja in it 😂 even if i have to talk myself through what I'm doing step by step!
Right now however, you'll find me on the couch with an ice pack, a belly full of lasagne (husband looks after me!) and a good cup of tea for the rest of the evening.
