Ladies going through or been through menopause ……
I’m 50 and currently learning more about menopause, and I’ve noticed something interesting. The official information is often quite similar wherever you read it, but when I read women’s real experiences, they seem wildly different. I am especially interested in women who HAVEN’T used HRT.

So I’m curious…

What was menopause actually like for you?

Did your periods gradually become irregular, or did they stop suddenly?

What happened during your menopause that nobody warned you about?

What was easier than you expected?
What was harder than you expected?

If you could go back and give your younger self one piece of advice, what would it be?

Happy Weekend beauties, after reading all the arguing and controversy around Gaz Oakley on a podcast explaining he is no longer vegan (if you don’t know who he is, he’s a famous chef/recipe book author/YouTube guy who has made lots of money from sharing a vegan lifestyle) it’s made me want to share this - lets choose love in all we do and how we respond to others, lets choose love for ourselves and for animals and the Earth, as much as we are able.

Everyone’s is living a life we can’t ever understand, because we haven’t lived it. Who are we to judge?

Living in Love, is connection, connection means we are aware of the changes that can happen in a lifetime and giving grace to others who are changing, even if this feels really hard or triggering for us, when we are aware of this, we can choose for life to be easier without attachment to control over others.
Remember to choose love for yourself too, the most important love of all 💗

I hope you can take time today to slow down, to rest, to stop, to gaze at the clouds, to watch a bee gather pollen, to read that book you’ve wanted to for so long. To have a day for you 💗

I’ve realised something recently, that I haven't really shared much on here for a while, over the years, alongside the art and zines and videos and all the naturey whimsical things, I’ve quietly spent a LOT of time helping other small businesses with their visuals.

Posters.
Flyers.
Banners.
Event graphics.
Social media posts.
Making things feel more cohesive.
Helping people untangle messy ideas.

Not in a big corporate “agency” way, more in a: “send me your chaotic notes and I’ll make it look lovely” kind of way. Or like my friend Karen who runs Infinite Women, she just emails now and says I need banners for..... whatever wonderful event she has coming up and I create them for her, using her branding colours and fonts.

I think because I’m self employed myself, and because I know how overwhelming it can feel trying to do absolutely everything alone, especially when you’re already busy actually running the business itself, I fully get it, a lot of us didn't start our business to become accountants, photographers, social media content creators etc we just wanted to get on with the passion bit.

I’m especially good at working with people who have lots of ideas but don’t necessarily have the time, energy or eye to turn them into visuals themselves. And this is part of my passion, so I’ve decided I’m opening up space for a couple more creative support clients alongside everything else I already do.

Mostly for:
Holistic businesses
wellbeing businesses,
community projects,
creative women,
workshop hosts,
small heart-led businesses,
and people who have brilliant ideas but need help bringing them visually together, I can turn my hand to most businesses if you have a vision, or need help clarifying the vision.

Things I can help with:
• posters & flyers
• banners
• event visuals
• social media graphics
• creative brainstorming
• making things feel cohesive and “like you

I also have a head absolutely full of ideas all the time, so often people come to me feeling stuck and leave with 27 new possibilities they hadn’t thought about.

If you think:
“Oh goodness yes, I need this”
then feel free to message me and we can have a chat.
No pressure, no weird sales pitch, just seeing if we’d be a good fit creatively

I’ve had this book over 10 years and attempted to read it 3 times and never finished it, interestingly now I have a personal relationship with Jesus, it’s actually landing better, because even if the books says God means good orderly direction, everytime I read the word before, there must have been some kind of mental block for me to carry on and connect with it properly. I don’t have that now.

I’m really interested if you have this book if you have ever managed to finish it all.

Parts of my desk that bring me joy.
Noticing is a really important part of being creative, the more you look and notice little moments of joy, the better your life is.

Chives and wildflowers from a dog walk, a huge shell from Tunisia that my friend Sara sent me from her holiday, tomatoes and sweet peas growing on the windowsill, a pot of watercolour pencils and alphabet stampers.

Swedish botanist Carl Linnaeus is arguably the most influential person in botany ever to have lived. He is famous for devising new systems for naming and grouping all living organisms, as well as naming thousands of species. He said that all organisms should be described by only two Latin words, the first denoting its genus, and another the species. It wasn't a new thing to use two-word Latin names but he was the first to apply it consistently, across all species.

It's international tea day - how do you like yours?
I like a decaf tea with oat milk, or a nice decaf earl grey with oat milk.

Funny FYI, this tea cosy was the first thing I ever listed and sold on Etsy back in 2012!
