Atomicon… I can’t fu***ng wait!

Last year was honestly awesome.

And weirdly, one sweeping conversation with Andrew and Pete completely changed my outlook on my business.

At the time I’d been working with a coach who was trying to shoehorn me into a funnel / one-to-many business model.

And don’t get me wrong… I get it.
It works.
I know loads of brilliant people who do it really successfully.

But I love DOING what I do.
And I’m really bloody good at it.

Then Andrew and Pete said something along the lines of:
“But if you build your business like that… you always have to keep feeding the top.”

And honestly? Something clicked.

I realised my brilliance isn’t teaching people how to build websites.

It’s building s**t hot websites.

So I changed my whole approach.

I put my prices up.
I stopped feeling like I had to create courses and funnels and scalable things just because the internet tells you that’s what “successful” businesses do.

And instead I focused on:
💛 delivering amazing work
💛 working with brilliant clients
💛 building a business that actually suits ME

That one conversation genuinely changed the trajectory of my business.

So I can’t wait to see what this year brings.

Also… the PEOPLE. Some of the most amazing humans ever!

Bu**er. I’ve just realised I’ve peaked!

I bought laundry detergent from an Instagram ad… and got genuinely excited about it.

Like REALLY excited.

I made the kids smell it before washing.
Then I washed clothes and made them smell them again afterwards.

They absolutely did not appreciate the experience.

Honestly though… why does nice smelling washing make me disproportionately happy now?

Please tell me I’m not the only person getting excited about this sort of s**t……

One thing I’ve learnt in business…

It’s not about learning to do MORE.

It’s about outsourcing better….

Using other people’s strengths and business badassery instead of trying to become good at absolutely everything yourself.

For example:
I’m s**t at consistency.
So I have my wonderful admin Louise helping me with that.

My accounts?
Could I do them? Probably.
Do I WANT to? Absolutely not.
So Hayley, my accountant, deals with that magic.

And honestly… that shift changed everything for me.

Because it’s not always about:
“I can’t do this.”

It’s more:
“Is this the best use of my time and brain power?”

I’d rather spend my time:
💛 making awesome websites
💛 helping businesses who’ve outgrown their DIY websites
💛 writing social posts (posting them is another story, see earlier consistency comment)
💛 networking
💛 making connections and friends

You do not have to become an expert at EVERYTHING to run a successful business.

And honestly… if you’re at that stage where your DIY website is starting to frazzle your brain and your business is growing beyond it…

Please don’t book a call with me… and then just not show up!

Honestly, it really f***s me off.

I KNOW life can be life-ing.
Kids get sick.
Meetings overrun.
Brains forget things.
Chaos happens.

But just send me a quick message!

“Sorry Charlotte, can we rearrange?”

That’s literally all it takes.

Because when someone no-shows, I’ve blocked out time, prepped mentally for the call and often shuffled other work around to make space for it.

It’s not the rearranging that bothers me.
It’s the disappearing.

I’m celebrating!!!!!

Not quite sure what exactly… but I’m celebrating anyway!

I’m celebrating:
💛 my business turning 10 this year
💛 not working with di****ad clients
💛 being able to pick my kids up from school
💛 building a business around MY life
💛 being the only adult in my household and still paying all the bills
💛 putting food on the table
💛 the amazing clients I get to work with
💛 being surrounded by bloody brilliant friends

Honestly the list could go on.

I think sometimes we wait for the BIG things before we allow ourselves to celebrate.

But actually… there’s something really special about looking around at the life you’ve built and thinking:

“Do you know what… I’m really proud of this.”

My 10 year old wants AI to become his teacher…..

And honestly… his reasoning is fascinating.

His plan is to create an AI teacher that learns HOW he learns.

He wants it to:
💛 focus learning around things he actually enjoys
💛 cut out the fluff
💛 hold him accountable
💛 explain things in ways his brain understands
💛 create activities it knows he’ll engage with

He’s 10.
He’s dyslexic.
He’s autistic.
He has a language disorder.

And yet he’s sat there explaining how education could be more personalised, more engaging and probably more effective for brains like his.

He genuinely believes he could learn what he NEEDS to learn in less than 6 hours a day if it was taught in the right way.

He also thinks things like:
💛 taxes
💛 loans
💛 mortgages
💛 real life skills

…should be part of the curriculum.

And honestly? I get it.

So anyway… if anyone wants to fund my tiny neurodivergent education disruptor, let me know I think he is on to something!

I am an ideas person.

I LOVE helping friends and clients take the chaos in their brain and actually turn it into something real.

Sometimes that looks like:
💛 helping map out an event
💛 thinking about venues and flow
💛 improving customer journeys
💛 organising ideas so they actually make sense
💛 working out how all the pieces fit together

And honestly… THIS is why I’m a fu***ng good website designer.

Because good web design is not just:
“what font should we use?”

It’s understanding:
👉 how people think
👉 what people need next
👉 where people get confused
👉 how to make ideas feel clear instead of overwhelming

I’m not just building pages.

I’m helping people organise their business ideas into something that actually works for real humans.

This is my friend Jamie. Jamie has a BBQ obsession!

Not going to lie… I don’t fully get it.

The man talks about meat temperatures and bbq types with the same passion I talk about websites and customer journeys.

HOWEVER…

Going to Jamie’s for a BBQ is not just “having a burger in the garden.”

It’s an EXPERIENCE.

There’s probably 14 different bits of meat cooking at once.Something smoking for 12 hours. And at some point everyone gathers round the BBQ like it’s a fire pit in caveman times!

Honestly… the passion people have for their thing is one of my favourite things.

Even when I don’t fully understand it.
