A little while ago we had the pleasure of helping the year 1 class at Farsley Springbank Primary School create their very own toy designs.

We had a Skype call together with the class where the design brief was discussed and we helped them with any questions they had before they embarked on their design challenge.

When they had their sketches ready the year 1 class took their ideas to the reception class to get some real "market research" and to see which designs were their favourite.

Once the designs were ready to present, we shortlisted the best bunch of toy ideas and chose two winners to have their toys mocked up in 3D by our designers here at designbytouch.

Poppy Parrot wings caught our attention with her amazing hair design and beautiful wings. We also loved the cute fuzzy look to sing a ma longs and the cool dancing and egg laying feature.

It was a great fun experience, and a big thank you again for the kind messages to everyone in year 1 and we hope to do things like this more in the future!

Hope to see many of you later in your careers when you are all looking for jobs in toy design! 😁
