We're starting the year with a new project for Momo, a start-up wellness brand based in Hong Kong that offers a growing range of high-quality, plant-based food and drink products that have been meticulously researched and developed. The company began by creating a signature almond milk, borne out of many months of experimentation in a humble home kitchen and has since expanded to produce a range of delicious nut butters and crunchy granola.

Momo required a considered and appropriate brand identity under which it could confidently establish itself in a fast-growing market and one that would strike a chord with a knowledgeable and discerning target audience. To achieve this, Passport developed a design direction that is clean and professional but tempered by a sense of playfulness. This is encapsulated in the bold, custom logotype where the lettering is cool and contemporary but softened with off-set angles and a subtle textured finish. This look and feel has been mirrored across illustrative assets and complemented by a warm palette of neutral tones and sober, uncoated substrates. Minimal and uncomplicated layouts across the print and packaging items helps Momo to reinforce a transparent and honest tone of voice that reflects its commitment to all-natural ingredients.

We're excited to share a new project today featuring our latest work for B|D Landscape Architects.

After previously rebranding the company, we have continued to work with B|D as their practice expands and evolves, with the identity we created adapting to reflect this development. The colour palette has shifted to focus on a a vivid two-tone orange featuring neon foils and spot colour inks, while the typography is often bold and oversized to communicate a bold and confident tone of voice.

Over the past year, we have designed a range of print collateral, beginning with new business cards and corporate stationery, as well as project postcards, a promotional mailer and a pocket-sized portfolio booklet that features their best work to date. The print work continues to make use of recycled paper stocks and responsibly sourced materials that reflects the company's environmentally-sensitive ethos.

We're excited to share our new brand identity and editorial design project for 'Non-Fiction' journal by Open City Documentary Festival. The publication aims to create a space for considered, critical and creative writing on non-fiction and features contributions offered in response to moving image, audio or cross-media, both contemporary and historical. The identity was required work alongside the festival and its other programs but standalone as an independent avenue.
The Non-Fiction logo visually reflects the notion of moving image which is achieved through selected letterforms that are cropped and repeated. The wider identity then focuses on ensuring that a number of different perspectives and tones of voice can be communicated. This is established through the use of a varied typographic palette in combination with unorthodox and unusual editorial layouts. In the midst of such uncertainty, especially for small businesses, we believe it is important and necessary to try to adapt and change the way we do things so that we can try to support those around us in similar situations, as well as protect the longevity of our business.
As a studio, our work is dependent on clients who are often startups, individuals, bars, restaurants, events, festivals and other creatives - all industries where work has been cancelled and incomes are now in jeopardy. So for a short period of time, if you are struggling financially, we would like to offer our skills with nothing to pay upfront, and defer payments for a little while until the world gets back on track. Perhaps you’re having to stay home from work and have some extra time to focus on things that may not have been a priority until now, such as your logo, website or social media content for example, so this could be the ideal time to create some great stuff together. As a small business ourselves, we aren’t able to make this offer available to all new enquiries but we would like to help those that are really struggling if we possibly can. Drop us an email for more details or if you’d like to chat about it further.
Wishing all our friends and family around the world the best - let’s try and look out for each other 🙂

The exceptional circumstances we're all currently experiencing and the sudden nature in which they have arrived has put an awful lot into perspective over the past few days. However, in these difficult moments, all we can attempt to do is stay safe, positive and productive.
With that in mind, we wanted to share a new project with you as we have been working since late last year on refreshing our own brand identity which had changed little since the studio was set up back in 2012. There were many elements from the original brand that we still enjoyed but we have reimagined these to now better reflect the experience we have gathered so far, as well as our aims and ambitions for the future.
The new identity has been applied across a large range of printed collateral and a brand new website: www.wearepassport.com. You can also see the full rebrand on our Behance portfolio here: www.behance.net/_passport. We look forward to hearing what you think and sincerely wish all the best to friends and followers, wherever you are in the world 🌍
