Technology is wonderful (When it works) I had to check out the Self driving Waymo in LA. It would not let us in at first and drove off but after stopping we got in and had a great ride. Anyone else been in one or would you be scared?

In 2026, your most valuable asset is your attention.

People's attention spans are shorter now than ever.

There is so much noise out there.

It's hard to concentrate.

I was watching Marty Supreme on the plane and spent most of the film racking my brains trying to remember the name of the actor who played Milton Rockwell.

You know when an actor is so good that they disappear completely into every role? You recognise them instantly, know they’re a quality actor, but for the life of you can’t remember their name.

The whole way through the film, I couldn’t shake the feeling that he looked exactly like Kevin O’Leary from Shark Tank. It became a distraction in itself. 😄

The film was great, by the way. I thoroughly enjoyed how it played out. But my biggest shock came afterwards when I did a quick Google search and discovered that it was indeed Kevin O’Leary playing the part!

What makes it even more impressive is that this was his first feature film. Hats off to him. Stepping into acting after building a hugely successful business career and delivering such a memorable performance is no small achievement.

What next? Duncan Bannatyne playing Alan Sugar?

Today I had a chat with a guy who works at the highest level of a Premier League football club. By most people’s standards, he’s hugely successful. But our conversation wasn’t about success. It was about missed opportunities.

He told me how, when he was younger, he was the fastest runner in his group. He had opportunities to play for local clubs and was even offered sponsorship to go to Australia. For various reasons, it never happened.

I shared my own story. At the time, I was at the top of my game earning good money, company car, car phone, everything I thought success looked like back then. I was offered the chance to go to Australia for a year and I turned it down.

He said he didn’t regret his decision but sometimes wondered what might have happened if he had gone. Me? I admitted I was a fool. Looking back now, I realise I should have taken the opportunity.

It made me think about how many opportunities in life we let pass by because of fear, comfort, timing or overthinking.

The people you work with, the environments you put yourself in and the chances you take will determine how far you grow over 5, 10 or even 20 years.

A successful life is often just the difference between a few good decisions and a few bad ones.

One thing I’ve learned is this:

You will regret more of the things you didn’t do than the things you did.

So if life offers you an opportunity, take it with both hands. The worst that can happen is you change your mind.

But if you never try, you’ll always wonder what if?
