Do you feel like you just want freedom??

This was me in 2022.

I would count down the days to the weekend, the end of the half term and even retirement.

I just wasn’t sure if I would make it…

I left teaching in 2022 and I haven’t looked back. I did supply for a little while whilst I built, first my tutoring business then my family support business.

It was hard 😅 but I got there! I created the freedom I desired in my business.
I was no longer burnt out and wishing the days away until retirement.

Lots of other new business owners don’t ever make it.

Starting out on your own is hard… and when you don’t have the business skills you’re basically just trying to figure it out. That’s what I did, but I know that with support I could have got here a lot sooner.

I have an opportunity that’s available for other teachers and ex teachers. It’s an opportunity for you to grow a successful business on your terms and exit the classroom. It has everything you could ever need and the guidance to get you to where you want to be a hell if a lot quicker than I did! 😅

I was home this morning to take back to school photos of my daughter and drop my son at school.

I used to dream of being able to do this - oh and I got to go to sports day this year too.

If you could do anything in the world, and money was was no longer an issue, what would you do? What would light you up everyday?

If the answer to that question is not teaching 😅 what are you doing with your life?

When I left teaching, I knew I still wanted to help people, but I didn’t know how…

I started small, that led to the next thing and the next thing.

Here I am today, multiple businesses/income streams, abundant but above all I have freedom.

I can do the school run, stay home with my dog, set my own working hours 🎉

I literally am FREE 😍

What if you could create a life of freedom and abundance and still help the children and families that need you the most?

When I finally left the classsroom, I didn’t know what I wanted to do.

I knew I wanted something different. Not to be counting down the days to the weekend, the next school holiday or to the six week holidays!

I even used to think about when I retired 😅

I was in my thirties and I was hoping to get to retirement quickly… I mean, what a waste of my life.

I had tried some different things alongside my teaching… online clothes store (I still had the boxes of clothes in my bedroom to prove it - my husband was fuming with this 😅😂)

You name it, I’d probably tried it.

Then I saw that tutoring was a good way to get out and to still work with children and families.

I was in a very large fb group that showed you how to create a tutoring business.

So I started that. I got a few clients and it was okay but the hours were tough.

I was starting work when my own children finished school or on working weekends.

The whole point was that I wanted to see my family more. I had more freedom but it still didn’t quite work.

Then, I delved more into supporting families in other ways. I trained as an NLP practitioner and lots of other holistic modalities. I started to think about how I could support neurodivergent families.

This is when I started to love my business. I was working more with parents so the hours suited me so much better.

I created my own programmes and was absolutely loving my work.

The freedom, the excitement.

Don’t get me wrong, it was also hard work. I was figuring out by myself. Learning, trying and sometimes failing BUT I was moving forward and it felt good.

I LOVE my business now.

I have freedom, flexibility and I can earn whatever I want to earn 💜

I had such a good day at Mani-Fest yesterday, when I first left teaching I really had to lean in and develop my mindset.

Yesterday, I met some of the proud who have helped me on my journey to do just that.

There are so many opportunities out there, but if your mindset isn’t strong, you will never ever notice them.

Having a business or a side hustle is completely different to being employed… I found this out quickly!

Following the nudges and opportunities has got me to where I am today.

Being able to go to an event like this on a school day wouldn’t have been possible 3/4 years ago.

This journey has given me so much freedom.

I’d love that to happen for you too.

This is the view from my bedroom window in our new home.

I’ve been manifesting this exact view ever since we went to Cornwall on a holiday and I looked out of the holiday home bedroom window at this view!

I used to dabble in manifesting when I was teaching full time. I’d sit at my desk on an evening in my empty classroom - with at least 60 books to mark - and I’d dream about retirement.

How weird to want to manifest retirement (basically the end of my life), but I did. I did that because then I knew I could be free.

Free from the constant anxiety of wondering what I hadn’t done. Free from the heart palpitations and the tight feeling in my chest. Free from the stress…

Counting down the days, weeks and months isn’t manifesting.

It’s wishing your life away 😢

That’s when I knew I had to do something.

Manifesting is about embodying what you want to be. Teaching is very much about the ‘doing’.

To manifest my dream life (that I’m pretty much living right now). I had to get super clear on what I actually wanted.

I did this with the help of my lovely coaches. That’s when my business was born too.

When I realised my biggest value was freedom, I knew things had to change.

Anyone can do what I’ve done.

If you’re sat wishing for a different life every evening (or every Sunday! 🤮)

It’s probably time to start making that change now ✨✨✨✨

When I first left teaching…

I didn’t know what to do with myself 😢

Teaching was my identity… I was a teacher

I’d worked hard for that identity. Believing that I would cope with the demands of the job… and being a mum… now what was I going to do?

I knew I couldn’t go back into a Rome that demanded so much from me I was wishing for retirement 🥺

Basically, wishing my life away.

I left teaching without anything else in place… maybe not advisable… but if you’re in that place now. It’s ok. Things will be ok.

I have no regrets.

Everything I’ve done is 1 more step in the right direction.

I now have a thriving business - well multiple thriving businesses and it just keeps growing.
