A day after Meta unveiled its AI Business Agent at Meta Conversations 2026, I had the pleasure of joining Conversations 1 London with the team from WATI.

It's always refreshing to spend time with people who genuinely care about solving real business problems through technology rather than simply talking about technology.
One moment that stood out for me was Ken's presentation demonstrating a WATI AI Agent operating inside Claude using WATI MCP.
You could see the spark in his eye.
If you've ever presented to a room full of business leaders, you'll know there comes a moment where your audience either connects with the vision or you lose them completely.
This wasn't one of those moments.
There was a real sense of excitement in the room and, for me, a feeling of déjà vu. The same feeling many of us experienced just 24 hours earlier when Meta announced its AI Business Agent roadmap.
WATI continues to demonstrate why it remains one of the leading players in the WhatsApp API ecosystem. Their understanding of conversational commerce, customer engagement and business messaging is impressive, and they are clearly investing heavily in the future of AI-powered customer interactions.
With Meta accelerating innovation across WhatsApp, Messenger, Facebook and Instagram, it is an incredibly exciting time to be working in this space.
