People Can Change Career Lanes

My good friend and Mentor, Dr Bob, was a scientist doing wonderful work.

In his line of specialism he had to work long hours in hospitals. He loved his job, but needed to take a step back. As we grow older none of us have quite the same energy we had as a younger person.

Bob didn’t want to “retire” he wanted a life outside work that meant he could spend quality time with his grandchildren, to be there for his daughter, to help out, but also to help with the fun things that grandchildren bring.

So Bob looked at what he could do part time that he could build while still working.

It was hard at first, he lacked focus, and got shiny object syndrome, that we all get from time to time.

Then he found his Mentor, who showed him the simple solution, which meant, in a few moments during a coffee break he could act positively on his part time business.

Bobs business flourished and then…………

Well, if I tell all the story it wouldn’t be right. Bob will tell his own story on Wednesday night, and now he’s reached an even higher level it gets better.

Needless to say, you can change career lanes, even later in life.
