Back with bang. It’s been a crazy couple of months. After returning to work, it’s been full on events season and I’ve had the pleasure of spending time with some of the nicest people in the automotive aftermarket.
Exciting news too as I can now share that TheWrightConsultancy will be working with A1 ADAS Group to deliver a PR & Comms campaign that will support the business’ ambitious growth plans. They have a unique business model and there’s so much to talk about. I can’t wait to help them tell their story.
Work has already started with articles secured in two trade publications. Watch this space!

It’s not always easy to put things into practice for your own business, things that you tell your clients to do. For me, whilst I’ve got the business strategy mapped out and worked on my branding, there’s so much I haven’t done yet.

There’s loads in the pipeline and only so many hours in the day. But that’s ok as long as you keep moving the needle. As far as PR is concerned, that means being visible and that’s a box I have been able to tick this week.

I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Amanda Hutchinson at AKP Branding Stories on a location shoot and now have a great collection of branding photos that give you a feel for who I am. They’ll be used across TheWrightConsultancy's PR and marketing and are an integral element of me and my brand being visible. Whether that’s next to an authoritative comment article or on a social media post, they’ll be invaluable.

The different types of shots you might need for PR and branding is something I’ll cover in my blog on the website (don’t look now though, it’s one of those things I haven’t done yet!)

If you haven’t put your, your team’s or your brand’s photos out there in a while, then get to it. Because if you want to your audience to buy from you, they really need to know who you are!

What makes a business story 'newsworthy'?

How do you take an existing product and make it ‘news’?

And how do you actually get that news in front of your audience?

It’s a strategic process. For it to be truly effective, you have to know what you’re doing, why you’re doing it, and who you’re doing it for. And that’s just the start. To hear the rest, give me a call.

In the meantime, the story below in Garage Wire magazine is a great example of all the above.

Always a pleasure working with Garage Services Online, and great to interview and work with Gareth Davies at Euro Performance on this story.

Euro Performance, a German vehicle specialist based in South Wales, is investing a six-figure sum in what it calls a ‘significant workshop refit’. As well as upgrading its nine lifts and equipment, it is installing air-conditioning, new flooring, a new reception, meeting rooms and staff break ou...

Thanks for the love, good wishes and feedback on the last post. It’s good to be back and I can confirm lots of cake has been eaten!

So, straight to it. What sets one PR & comms provider apart from another?

It’s the ability to look at an organisation and audit its business strategy BEFORE the PR and marketing strategy is created.

What lies there is the bedrock of what everything else is built upon. If there’s a gap, no amount of PR, comms and marketing budget is going to plug it long term.

Business strategy isn’t always easy. It’s tempting to carry on and keep skipping to the ‘fun’ marketing part with a business plan in one hand and some key messages in the other.

As PR’s, we’re guilty of aiding and abetting. Do we even question the rationale behind the brief?

Well, this one does! Because as a CPD Certified Business Strategist, I can spot the gaps and won’t spend your comms budget if it’s just going to paper over them.

I’m super proud to be at the helm of The Wright Consultancy; straight-talking PR, comms and business strategy for B2B, trade and technical organisations.

Let’s go!

And yes, I’m still accepting cake bribery in return for an initial consult.

The Wright Consultancy is officially ‘here’.

It’s time to unveil the new logo and begin to share what’s been happening behind the scenes.

It all started with a conversation with an editor of a trade magazine who remarked that the articles I was submitting were like a breath of fresh air. That no one else in the sector was thinking that way and to please keep them coming. I certainly will. I love what I do and that makes a difference.

But it got me thinking: when you hire a ‘PR’, what sets one apart from another? What complimentary skills do they need to really drill down into what the business needs BEFORE a meaningful PR strategy can even be created?

Well, I do have the answer. But for now, I’d love to know: what you think?

Drop me a line or give me a call. You can even bribe me with coffee and cake for comms advice.

In the meantime, welcome to my new venture. The Wright Consultancy – where the right words mean business.
