Mental health and the menopause are more connected than people often realise.
For many women, perimenopause and menopause bring anxiety, low mood, brain fog and disrupted sleep; symptoms that can significantly affect how someone feels at work, and how they feel about themselves. Yet too often, those symptoms go unnamed. And unnamed things are hard to get support for.
This Mental Health Awareness Week, we want to be clear about something: at fonemedia, signing the Menopause Workplace Pledge was not just a statement. It was a commitment to making sure women on our team never have to navigate this alone, and that their mental health, not just their physical health, is part of that conversation.
If you have not yet taken the pledge, this week feels like a good moment to consider it: www.wellbeingofwomen.org.uk/mwp
