Event highlight! 🎉

It was a pleasure to have managed the Leeds Hotels and Venues Association 2024 Awards last Thursday, celebrating with a carnival twist. Hosted at Leeds United, the event saw over 320 attendees coming together as a way of celebrating and recognising the brilliant work of our Leeds hospitality professionals and networking amidst a vibrant carnival atmosphere!

At B&H events management is part of our portfolio of client services, while organising an event involves a multitude of responsibilities. Here's a glimpse into what goes on behind the scenes:

✅Event Planning: From the initial concept to the final ex*****on, we meticulously planned every detail to ensure a seamless event. This included developing the event theme, creating schedules, and coordinating with various stakeholders.

✅Venue Coordination: Working closely with Leeds United, AYRE and Elegance we ensured that the venue was perfectly set up for the evening. This involved site inspections, layout planning, and logistical arrangements to accommodate all attendees.

✅Sponsorship and Partnerships: Securing sponsorship partners was crucial to the event’s success. We worked tirelessly to establish partnerships that aligned with the event's goals and provided value to our sponsors.

✅Guest Management: From sending out invitations to managing RSVPs and ensuring a smooth check-in process on the night, guest management was a key part of our responsibilities.

✅On-the-Day Coordination: Our team was on-site throughout the event, handling everything from setup to breakdown. We managed the flow of the evening, coordinated with suppliers, and ensured that every aspect ran smoothly.

✅Catering and Entertainment: Selecting the right catering services and entertainment options to enhance the guest experience was another crucial task. We coordinated menus, arranged performances, and managed the overall event atmosphere.

We are proud to share that our client, The Wildlife Foundation successfully raised £10,000 through donations and trustee support to ensure the safe arrival of a lioness and her three cubs from Ukraine. 🦁

After a 2,000-mile journey from Poznan, Poland, Emi, Santa, Aysa, and Teddi have finally reached their new home here in Yorkshire. These resilient cubs, along with their mother Aysa who escaped the conflict in Donetsk, saw grass, trees, and birds for the first time in nine months. 🌏

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to this incredible rescue mission! 🙌

We are thrilled to share an exciting update from B&H regarding the iconic Yorkshire landmark, The Tetley! As the proud custodian Kirkstall Brewery is gearing up to transform this historic Art Deco building into a dynamic destination for conferencing, events, food, and drink 🙌

The Tetley has been a key part of Leeds' brewing history since it was the headquarters of Tetley's Brewery. Closing its doors as a brewery in 2011, it was reimagined as a contemporary art gallery. Now, under the stewardship of Kirkstall Brewery, it is ready for its next chapter. We're reigniting the building's storied legacy, now open to the public as part of the newly developed Aire Park district 🏘

This is your invitation to explore the renewed facilities that honour its past as one of the world's largest cask ale producers, poised to reclaim its place at the heart of Leeds' cultural and social scenes 🍻

B&H has been very busy this last week, kicking off with the Birmingham General Managers meeting at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole

I'm excited to share that we had a fantastic turnout. A big thank you to Nicola Underhill for her warm welcome and for hosting us.

We were pleased to have Sue Robinson from Greengage join us, sharing insights on attaining sustainability accreditation and advancing through bronze, silver, gold, and platinum tiers.
