Together with my friend Lisbeth .are.making.lemonade we’ve designed some fabulous merchandise for this crowdfunding campaign to raise money for her incredibly brave and determined little girl Olive who needs a specialist wheelchair ✨
Having known this adventurous family for a few years now, I truly know the difference this wheelchair will make to their daily lives.
Olive is a happy three year old, with a lovely smile. She love’s ducks, Hey Duggee, giggling at her daddy and going on adventures.
Olive has quadriplegic cerebral palsy. As a result of a catastrophic brain injury at birth, she can’t sit, walk or talk, and is fed through a gastrostomy tube. Olive can’t do anything without help to meet every single need. However, she doesn’t let this stop her enjoying life to the fullest.
Olive loves spending time outside with her family, but as she grows they’re finding it increasingly difficult for her to access the outdoors safely and comfortably. She needs a specialist wheelchair that can keep her supported and can also handle rougher terrain to give her access to forest paths, sandy beaches and lakeland trails.
Life has given Olive lemons, but she makes lemonade. Inspired by her resilience and positivity we decided to create merchandise with the phrase ‘making lemonade’ to raise funds for her all terrain wheelchair. We hope that the sentiment resonates with you, we know many of you might be making lemonade too.
