Then you need a content strategy!

We hear about it alllllll the time and with good reason too! A strategy really is important for your social channels for sooo many reasons.

🤔 But how do you start one? Think about your goals for your socials and go from there, consider these points -

✨who do you want your content to reach?
✨what kind of content do they engage with?
✨where are they on socials?

Once you’ve got that down you can build off that to create a strategy!

☁️ Want an aesthetic feed?

👻 Here’s one of my favourite feed transformations! Don’t we all love a before and after?!

🍭 Unlike a well known makeover show, I’m not going to make you parade on the streets in your pants for the public to comment on… unless you want to of course. BUT, I am going to tell you once again how important a good feed layout is. Sadly it doesn’t come easy, it requires a lot of thought, planning, test runs, creativity and tears…

🫧 But the reason we still do it is because first impressions are EVERYTHING on Instagram. Your feed doesn’t have to be perfectly curated, but it does need some uniformity and alignment.

🏡 If you still don’t believe me, would you rather hang out in a million pound mansion, marble floors and no detail left unfinished… or that spooky house in your town that’s run down, over grown and everyone tells ghost stories about?

🧠 When you think about it, it all comes down to aesthetics. Taking the time to make your profile look it’s best will reward you with customers who want to engage with your page and shop too!

🙅🏼‍♀️ Are you guilty of any of these?!

😮‍💨 These are some of the social media things I loooove to hate. Aside from me being a hater, if you are doing any of these things, STOP and think about how it might be affecting your business negatively.

🙅🏼‍♀️ Posting about a fight with your bf
🙅🏼‍♀️ Buying followers to look more authentic
🙅🏼‍♀️ Sending all kinds of unwanted DMs
🙅🏼‍♀️ Posting blurry photos

💭 All of these things are probably going to get you 1. Unfollowed 2. Low engagement 3. No sense of trust 4. Blocked… None of these things make for a very happy business. So what can you do?

🤎 Make use of the resources right here on Instagram, consult a professional (like me!) be aware of and change damaging strategies implemented in the past and never stop learning and working towards a more popping social!

😵‍💫 Your feed is losing you clients

💭 If you didn’t know yet, aesthetics are important on Instagram. I’m not talking about creating a feed that takes hours with one wrong move triggering a full on melt down… I’m talking about a beautiful, varied but consistent to your brand kinda feed.

🎁 I know time is scarce, so here are my top fave 3 quick and easy ideas that you can use right now.

1️⃣ Give your logo and other branding a Christmas makeover. Small but effective!

2️⃣ Let customers get an insight to the personal side of your business and/or team by doing a festive challenge (which team member has the best gingerbread house/ the best quality street ranking etc.) Upload your pics and let your customers vote for the winner. Fun and interactive!

3️⃣ Go live for order packing. Packing videos are really popular and give you a chance to show off your products and create excitement. It also allows you to respond in real time to customers! Personal and popular!

💪 Let me share a secret with you,

💛 Most Mondays in my life have followed the Sunday scaries. I can vividly remember begging my mum to not make me go to school at the end of every weekend…. and then I became a teacher lollll.

🌼 After a while, those same feelings started to creep back in, but this time as an adult with responsibilities. One day, the stars aligned, so I did what any sane person (I hope sarcasm translates) would do and quit my job with nothing to go on but a wish and a prayer.

🍌 And now? I started to work on my life long dream of working for myself, even if I am still figuring a lot of it out! No more Sunday scaries and much happier!
