The other day I was told the Wensleydale Spiced Rum had been entered into the World Rum Awards 2022.

The final results have been announced, I am proud and delighted to say it has won a Silver Award for the label design!!!🥈🙌🍾🥂

Wensleydale Spiced Rum 🥃🍃

Over the past few months, me and Laura Cloughton Design had the amazing opportunity to create the new packaging design for Wensleydale Spiced Rum.

Our idea was to depict iconic scenes of the Yorkshire Dales using the rolling hills to highlight the Dales valley and Ribblehead Viaduct, representing the distillery’s place of origin on the Wensleydale railway line. Being a premium Rum we wanted to translate the design through an Art Deco-inspired style to convey a minimal and sophisticated outlook.

Creating not only the package design, I also devised a new Brand Identity for the Wensleydale Spirit Company which Taplin & Mageean and Wensleydale Spiced Rum are a product of.

The main aim of this project was to illustrate a contemporary and premium design to represent the place we like to call home.

Fringez & Freckle’s Rebrand- Twisted.
Designed using minimalist typography and a clean colour palette, I wanted to highlight and innovate the design by incorporating swirls and dots to suggest the company’s image and creativity; styling Hair and Nails, as well convey their new services of Aesthetics.

Brief 1- Dales Roots- a campaign to ‘Support Local Farmers’ and encourage the public to buy local and invest into our communities. I chose to go with a minimal and rustic design whilst upholding a traditional style showcasing nostalgic imagery.
Dales Roots is a brand to support all farming roots to ensure past and present Farmers are credited for all there workmanship and hard work to ensure our communities are fed.

Recent Logo Design for a local business.
Penhill Stud- Breeding Thoroughbreds

Love how this design came together in the end. It was really enjoyable using both a traditional illustration and minimal layout to depict the iconic scene of Penhill and the Mare & Foal. Balancing both principles has infused a contemporary and authentic style to the design which I am overly pleased with.

Brief 3 Earth Artefact- 'use the Golden Disk as influence to depict an aspect of the Earth'.

I chose to design the Earth's surrounding planets through a modern and illustrative infographic. The watercolour displays a authentic appearance which I complimented with a minimalist layout. This material is designed to ensure the information is clear and easier for the reader to understand.
