We are looking to hire an IT engineer to manage our company’s internal computer systems, networks, CCTV, and telephone systems for multiple sites in the leisure and hospitality sector.
As an IT Engineer you will be responsible for designing hardware configurations, installing software, managing software applications, managing networks, remote support, managing internal servers, backup solutions and training staff on correct operational procedures.
You should have good experience at maintaining small to medium sized computer networks, the ability to project manage, and excellent troubleshooting skills.
Responsibilities
• Meeting with Management team to discuss system requirements.
• Designing and installing hardware configurations for systems, networks, CCTV, and telephones
• Installing software and networking systems
• Installing Hardware to work with systems built by our internal developers (EPOS System)
• Troubleshooting network, software, computers, and application issues
• Training staff on newly installed systems and applications
• Fixing hardware, software for CCTV, network, telephone related issues
• Responding to general IT support requests
• Network Monitoring
• A basic understanding of Ubiquiti software
• Remote Support (Team Viewer or Chrome Remote Desktop)
• Provide technical support when required
• Ensuring all software and hardware is up to date
• Ensuring security software is kept up to date
• Logging issues and how the issue was resolved
• Discuss new ideas with management and what will be involved to put this into place
• Reporting
• The ability to perform annual audits of the company’s IT infrastructure
• Consult with the team about their IT requirements
• Research the latest hardware and software technologies to decide if they offer improvements on the existing infrastructure.
• A close working relationship with the creative project manager and web developers
• Responsible for TVs & Audio at each location
Requirements
• Extensive knowledge of computer hardware & software
• Familiarity with the Windows and MAC operating systems
• Knowledge of Sage software
• Knowledge of LAN and Wi-Fi networks
• Ability to project manage
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to troubleshoots complex issues across a range of hardware/software applications
• Knowledge of database and networking security issues
• Knowledge of physical servers and cloud servers
• Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft 365
• Full Driving Licence
