Tonight, I’m up for two awards at the Lincolnshire Marketing Awards - Entrepreneur of the Year and Business Recognition.

And while I’m incredibly proud to be shortlisted for both, there’s something about the Business Recognition category that feels special.

Because you don’t apply for it.
You aren’t nominated for it.

The judges look across all of the applications they receive and decide which businesses they believe deserve to be recognised.

To even be selected feels huge, amongst peers and people I respect.

And perhaps it feels even more important because of the work I’m doing right now around The Recognised Woman.

Awards are fantastic and of course I’d love to win, but to me recognition is what happens when the way you show up, the standards you hold, the work you do and the reputation you build begin to speak for you.

👉 When people know what you stand for.

👉 When your name carries meaning before you enter the room.

👉 When opportunities begin to find you because you have spent years becoming the woman capable of holding them.

That’s what being a Recognised Woman means to me - leading, contributing and building something worthy of being recognised.

You know your work matters. You’ve watched it change things for the people you work with. You’ve buzzed from the gorgeous feedback you received.

The problem you have is you just can’t find the words that do it justice.

You write something 👉 then you soften it.

You draft something 👉 then run it through AI to make it sound more polished. More snappy! Yappy? More like that coach who’s on fire and seems to have people eating out the palm of her hand.
