This was eye-opening.

As I mentioned last week, the main blocker on this was a lack of knowledge.

Of this group, just over 15% had never tried advertising their training business.

This means that there's a massive opportunity waiting in 2025!

🔎 Google Ads is the most commonly utilised ad platform.

Close to 90% of current advertisers in our research were using Google Ads.

If an individual is searching for "manufacturing cpd courses" on Google and finds a search ad for your business, we know that this person will likely be interested in your training programme.

Google Ads is great for targeting people at different stages of the buying cycle, and showing them an ad that will resonate with their current requirements.

If you get your messaging & landing page right, you can quickly turn these search queries into leads (and then sales!)

📆 The average monthly budget is £5,000 - £10,000

📈 55% are planning to increase their ad spend in 2025

The average monthly budget is a good one to aim for. You could likely run across multiple platforms with a budget of this size.

It's worth noting that this is for existing advertisers. We generally recommend a budget of £2,000/month per platform to begin with, and then scaling up to a larger ad spend over time.

The fact that 55% of these advertisers are looking to increase their spend in 2025 says a lot, especially in the current economic landscape.

The main takeaway here is simple. Online advertising works.

There are opportunities to promote your training programme or e-learning platform on search engines, social media & through display ads.

2025 is a great time to get started.

Last week, our 2024 paid ads report for L&D businesses was published.

Over the next two weeks, we'lll share some of the insights included in the report.

𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝟭

🧠 75% of respondents intend on running ads in the future, but the main blocker is having the knowledge of how to do so.

This was 75% of the respondents that aren't currently running ads (42% of total respondents.)

Running ads can be daunting. Some of the stuff you'll need to do:

👉 Pick the platform(s)
👉 Choose an objective
👉 Ensure you're targeting the right audience
👉 Get your creative ready
👉 Write ad copy that conveys your message effectively
👉 Set up conversion tracking
👉 Optimise and test

It can definitely be done in-house, but working with an agency can help to maximise your ROI.

Look for an agency with experience in your sector (such as Lucha for learning & development businesses.)

Get on a call & chat through your objectives with the agency. You'll quickly know if you can see yourself working with them or not.
