Seize the Clay.

One of the first jobs completed in 2026 for the lovely Em of across the water on the outskirts of Oxton.

Double fascia and internal wall all painted by Christine and me. Painted in the freezing cold, came out a treat.

Great project to be a part of. Can't wait to see this space up and running.

Probably my favourite photo of 2025.

As part of fresh work for earlier in the year we painted this exterior panel with some blurb about the history of the pub. Here's Christine finishing the final bits of the new sign on the left. On the right is the same panel being painted by an absolute don back in the 1980s. Don't really need to say any more, it's a belter.

I've been doing this gig for about a decade and I've always point blankly refused to paint roller shutters. That is until Joe from .lolas messaged me recently asking if I could paint their shutters, he's such a nice guy I felt bad saying no.

So here we are, the brightest set of shutters around. First full shutter job done and first job spray paint job Christine and I have done. You certainly won't miss it when you're stuck in traffic on Smithdown.

As an extra to this we have the fascia a good clean and added some extra colours to the shadow of the text I painted when they opened it. Looks well better for it.

Nice one to Joe and Oli for the continued support.

The Mayflower.

Completed back in the spring as part of the signage works for - this absolute whopper of a pub sign.

For those new here, that's all hand painted - the way it should be. Hand painted ship, hand painted lettering. These pub pictorial signs are such great projects to work on, proper jobs.

This is a serious bit of kit - designed by , fabricated by , painted by Christine and myself before being installed by Phil. Loads of stress with a job like this but such a relief to get it up on the wall.

Clearly it's popular with the seagulls too.

Black Cat - Parr Street.

This is the third I've painted in 2025. This one back in autumn before they opened the doors to their new gaff on Parr St.

Very relaxed brief - put the names here, make it look good vibes. Best way to work. All hand drawn lettering with a super punchy colour combo. Completed alongside a load of internals that I have zero photos of.

This place also serves pizza - absolutely dreamy.

Thanks to the Black Cat lads & Diogo for getting Chrissy and me in. Fun job.

Great to be a part of the Echo's series of "people who keep the city running". Had loads of lovely feedback from this today.

I try not to think too deeply about sign writing, it's just professional colouring in isn't it but it's always nice to see the craft get some recognition.

Thanks to Danny for getting me involved in this, looking forward to seeing the next person in the series.
