This isn’t a new concept.

Nor is it particularly ground breaking.

However, I see coaches / gyms overlook it often.

Know what you want.

Work backwards from that.

Detail the numbers needed to get there.

Work the plan.

I.E

1) Get clear what you’re building

2) Get clear what it takes

3) Know the precise numbers it takes (new clients, conversion to recurring revenue, avg duration of stay)

4) Work forwards towards those numbers each month.

Most fit pros I speak just say:

“I need more leads”

How many?

“I need more sales”

How many sales?

“I want to make 10k per month”

Do you have a clear and defined path to make that happen?

It’s so simple that it’s overlooked.

Instead they’re distracted by:

- I need to use WhatsApp

- I need to use IG

- I need more equipment

- If only I had X then I’d be able to…

They externalise everything.

To the point they’re helpless.

You can build a 200 member gym on simple numbers.

- 20 clients a month.

- 15 convert to Back end membership.

- Minimum stick rate of 10 months at an average of 99/month

That’s close to 200 active members at anytime.

Factor in long term loyal members and you’re there.

That’s a 20k/mo game plan right there.

To make that happen you need.

60-100 leads a month.

Avg lead cost between 3-15/lead depending on market, location, town size.

Any screenshot you see of leads at the sub £5 per lead mark are anomalies that people are using to lure you in to think their method is superior.

I promise you — across the span of a year - your lead cost will vary and it will fall between 3-15/lead.

And conversion rate won’t vary much from 20-30% from lead to sale.

This is the current landscape of the market.

Be realistic with your numbers.

Overshoot the potential cost.

But this is what it takes.

The truth.

The reality.

Not the fake truth.

Not the marketing truth.

The truth truth.

It’s not about WhatsApp.

It’s not about email.

It’s not about IG.

It’s not about SMS.

They’re vehicles to execute the plan.

They aren’t the sudden saviour.

Promise ya.

Anyhoo — too much sense for one post.

Catch you soon ✌️

PS - if you wanna scale to 20k/mo — on or offline.

I got you.

Hit me up.

This year we began the process of figuring out how to “ditch sales calls” and still enroll 20 + group training clients a month.

After a number of iterations, countless tests, wilful clients — we’ve cracked it.

If you own a Gym or Bootcamp and you’re tired of sales calls and you’d love us to install our system into your business — shoot me a DM and let’s chat

You never have a “money problem”

You have a focus, strategy, plan, clarity, action, decision, choice problem.

CONTEXT: Of course, sometimes there are situations completely out of your control.

In a business context. If you’re a business owner - simply - you have whatever is available to others available to yourself.

If you see someone in your market, similar endeavours making 50-100x more than you, then you KNOW that it’s possible.

Of course as a gym owner You’re limited by:

- available demographic - London is different to Liverpool which is different to living in the Lake District…

HOWEVER, I have seen and worked with gyms in small rural and remote places making upwards of £20k per month so I know it’s possible.

But back to my original statement.

A lack of MONEY is not the PROBLEM - it’s the SYMPTOM.

It’s downstream to a lack of upstream activity.

Usually due to a skillset gap or a mindset gap. Or BOTH.

- lack of strategy
- lack of focus
- lack of clarity around offer
- lack of belief
- lack of thinking time
- Not knowing how to generate leads
- not knowing how to sell
- not knowing how to retain
- not knowing how to lead

If you stay at the level of “I have a money problem” then you’ll never be able to diagnose the real problem.

It’s like

“I have an itchy arm” - that’s a symptom

And even “I have eczema”

Could be argued that

There are upstream activists that cause that

- Poor nutrition
- Soaps / Wash Powder

Etc

You get it.

Stop trying to solve problems that don’t exist.

Money is a resource.

You can generate it.

Once you begin to accept that:

“I am not engaging in the activities, thinking and mindset that creates, keeps and multiplies money”

Then you begin to realise that you have control.

Control = leverage.

Now you can actually do something about it instead of being victim to circumstance.

There are 4 types of Fit Pro’s I come across in my work.

1) The Distracted:

- constantly looking for the next thing to do instead of going deep and solving problems in the right order, they wake up and tinker, follow every guru under sun, read books, listen to podcasts, gather info - yet stay stuck

2) The Reactive

- lose a client, focus on gaining a client - they’re driven by the stuff that drags their attention away - like a client cancelling or a complaint - it can hijack their day

3) The Passive

- nice guy syndrome - not leading thier business just causally gojng with the flow - whether it’s sales, service or team - there’s a lack of leadership.

4) The Avoidant

Not doing the stuff that needs to be done. Procrastinates. Doesn’t go deep. Doesn’t focus on the core problems.

Not tackling things fast enough. Putting off difficult conversations or decisions that will move them and their business forward.

Mostly I find it’s a lack of

👉 Clarity around what you want

👉 Lack of a method / model to get there

👉 Lack of focus

👉 Going shallow instead of deep

👉 Chasing 2 or 3 things instead of 1

The actual cost of these behaviours are the difference between fit pros making 3-5k per month and 30-50k per month

It’s not small - it’s costing business owners hundreds of thousands a year.

The choice you have is to continue this behaviour and accept your business is going to stagnate or TAKE A leap and get the help you need

Which of these resonate with you most?

Subtraction not addition.

In your business I’d argue - you’re a victim of too much as opposed to not enough.

You’re scattered, doing way too much.

Too many offers.

Too much hustling.

Filling your time.

Throwing s**t against the wall and hoping that it sticks.

Tinkering.

Messing around with stuff.

Fiddling.

Part of growing is actually identifying:

- what you want your life and business to look like
- being incredibly clear on what’s important and what’s not
- getting into alignment with your desires
- figuring out the simple and straight path to get there
- executing with precision

Most entrepreneurs are mildly whacky, chaotic, have some adhd thrown in there.

They’re idea machines.

Opportunists.

And this is the essential part of what makes you great - but it’s also what holds you back.

WHAT are you best placed to do?

WHERE do you need support?

WHAT do you desire?

WHY is that important to you? (Link to other life benefits)

HOW can you get there in the simplest way possible?

WHO do you need help from in order to execute this?

Stop adding stuff to your plate.

You’re ONE human.

With ONE life.

It’s short, you can’t do everything to the level you desire.

But you can make tremendous growth in a couple of directions.

But when it comes to business…

Pick one program, one offer, one process, one focus, and strip everything back.

That way you’ll make big leaps instead of micro steps.

CLARITY is freedom.

I’m not working with clients 1-1 - if you wanna chat about working with me 1-1 shoot me a DM.

We’ll get you a clear path.

Without distraction.
