Getting ready for school holidays!

In between booking clubs, camps, play dates and shopping for the holiday. Get your phone ready for the summer too! And I don't mean to not forget your charger...

Here are a few tips:

1. Get a protective case to prevent damage of water or breakage.

2. Put contact details on the home screen in case you forget your phone somewhere and someone finds it, they will be able to contact you and bring it back.

3. Limit screen time, turn off notifications so you can be present with your family, and enjoy spending time together.

4. If you are going abroad, check plans and fees with your phone provider so you won't end up with a huge bill.

5. Make room on your phone for all the new photos you are about to take. Back up the ones on your phone so you can delete them to clear up some space for the new ones.

6. Download a cloud app to automatically upload the photos from your holiday in case something happens to your phone. You don't want to lose all the photos because of damage or lost phone.

🎂 Today, May 24th, will mark 8 years of my business 🎂

I started my business when my second daughter was 4 years old, after being a stayed home mum for 7 years. She was in nursery and I felt it was the right time to get back to my life and be a bit less mummy and a bit more Liat.

I started the business with zero confidence, I knew I can make beautiful photobooks but that’s about it. My confidence in graphics design and web design was all gone in my stayed home mum years.

So I started the business, created a business card, a website and a page and I thought my phone would explode with clients. Well, guess what, it didn’t.

Then, With the help and support from the women's organisation, I started to learn what it means to have a business and I was introduced to other businesswomen, networking and collaboration and slowly gained some confidence and some work too:
⭐️I worked in the wedding industry doing various of things from magazines, to hosting networking events and helping organise a wedding award.
⭐️Then I worked in book publishing designing book covers and layouts.
⭐️Then I worked in a digital marketing agency building websites.
⭐️And when the pandemic hit, I decided to put all my time and energy into the photobooks.

Throughout the years I met amazing women who taught me a lot of things, women who I collaborated with, women I worked with, women who helped me get back on my feet, some on a business level and some on a personal level (Ok there was one man too). I am ever so grateful for each and every one of them.

Being in business is the biggest, longest, scariest roller coaster. There are amazing highs but steep lows too. Sometimes the lows are so hard and never-ending that you don’t know how to get back up again. And then life itself adds more struggles and joys to the mixture.

These past 8 years have been a huge journey of business development and mostly personal development. I learned so much, I have grown on so many levels, and now I feel I can finally say - I get it.
I am who I am and that’s OK. Some will like me and some not.
Life will always have ups and downs, and that’s ok too. That’s just the way it is. We just need to keep staying true to ourselves.

Here is to many more years of growth! 🥂

In the last 3 weeks I have been busier than ever! But I enjoyed every minute of it!

In business:
✅️ I did 4 wedding albums
✅️ I took over client’s email marketing in Kajabi
✅️ Did all the graphics needed for a retreat.
✅️ Updated and fixed a few websites.
And the highlight was:
✅️ Hosting a 5 days challenge which is mini training, helping people organise their photos on their phone.
I really enjoyed the challenge and I am so happy I could help! For some, I helped to make a start, and for others, I helped by giving them the confidence that what they are doing is great!
It feels really good to know that I was able to help and now they will have a system to organise their photos and I also took away their stress and overwhelme!

In my personal life:
✅️ There was the King's Coronation
✅️ The Eurovision Song Contest right at my doorstep
✅️ Two very special events in my local community where I was asked to be the photographer! One of them included a visit from a VIP!
✅️ Last but not least I have a 3 children and that's a full job of its own!

Pheww! Just writing this all down made me tired 🤣

My photo organising challenge is just right for earth day.

All the photos we store on clouds use lots of energy from super computers all over the world.
The less photos (or any files) we have the less energy used.

We can easily delete half of our camera roll, but if we don't have a system to manage it easily, the photos are just piling up on our phones and clouds and ultimately affecting our planet.

Don't you miss the good old days when we had just a few photos, organised in albums and we cherished each and every one of them.
Today we have so many photos stuck on the phone, and we don't even spend the time looking at them and enjoying our memories... it's a shame, isn't it? What's the point of taking all these photos if we don't do anything with them?

And when we do want to show off our holiday photos to a friend for example, half of the pictures are either not so very good or random screenshots or photos from Whatsapp keep showing up and you notice your friend is getting bored...
