Part of initial explorations of a now just-finished project. This is very far from the final result; but playing with layouts sometimes helps me understand the data and what is possible—I had some serious misconceptions at first that needed to be resolved. Still a fun image :-)

Beyond proud—the latest work I was involved with for FAO is currently being introduced at UNOC (United Nations Ocean Conference). I have posted some pictures of the illustrations here and there, but it all needed to be kept under wraps until now—I'll probably post more about this work in the coming weeks :-D

Imagine Alternatives is a collaborative storytelling game exploring climate futures. It is a game of mapmaking and worldbuilding, which invites players to use their imagination to envision the future, while learning about climate change along the way. Suitable for ages 12 and above.

Originally designed in a Ugandan setting, it is now being introduced in Kenya.
