We started in Elm Street, Huyton Quarry in 1988, moved to Randles Road on Knowsley Industrial Park, and are now based at Kirkby Bank Road, Knowsley Industrial Estate. One of the most common questions we get is "why do my colours look different in print to how they looked on screen?"

Nine times out of ten - RGB artwork. Screens show colour using light. Print uses ink. They're fundamentally different systems and what looks brilliant on a monitor won't always translate directly to paper.

Working in CMYK from the start eliminates this problem. Not sure how to check? Give us a call - we're always happy to help.

Two numbers every designer working in print needs to know.

Bleed extends beyond the cut line to prevent white edges. The safe zone sits inside the cut line to prevent important content being trimmed off.

Get both right and your print will look exactly as intended every time. Get them wrong and even beautiful artwork can look unprofessional on the finished piece.
