Sometimes it's the smaller commissions that give me the greatest sense of accomplishment.
Word of mouth has played such a massive part in connecting with new customers on a daily basis. I am forever travelling to new destinations around the UK in order to spread my message and to keep my passion for handpainted traditional signage driving forward.
But a simple knock on the door every now and again makes me realise that I dont have to venture far in order to meet someone who needs me to restore or paint something.
The plaque pictured (before and after), belonged to a Grandad who had it placed outside his drum room. Over the years it had faded and had various different stickers and vinyl lettering placed on top of it.
I lovingly stripped it, primed, undercoated and glossed the plaque before hand lettering it, giving a nod to the original font and finished it with some 24ct gold leaf drumsticks.
This will now be used as the Grandsons new drum room name plaque and is definately one of my favourite things I have been lucky enough to create.
