No one really tells you how much building a business is trial and error disguised as confidence. We’ve said yes when we should have no, tried to do too much ourselves, taken things personally, overthought decisions and been ridiculously busy yet wondered why progress didn’t always feel like it.

However, every one of these moments has taught us something valuable. We’ve learned that honesty builds trust more than pretending to know everything. Protecting our time isn’t selfish.

The right people around us truly make all the difference. And growth doesn’t always mean doing more.

Sometimes growth manifests as better boundaries, more meaningful conversations, improved work and increased confidence in our contributions. It also means a little less panic when things don’t go perfectly.

As Pinc Sheep grows, we’re still learning and genuinely hope that never changes. We don’t want to become the kind of business that believes it has everything figured out.

We’d rather remain curious, keep listening and continuously improve for the people who trust us with their businesses. 🫶🏻

There are probably easier people to start a business with than your sister.

Someone who doesn’t know every version of you. Someone who can’t tell you’re stressed from the way you’ve said “fine”. Someone who hasn’t got years of ammunition ready when you disagree about something.

But genuinely, we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Pinc Sheep came from two sisters who had both lived a bit of life before deciding to build something together.

We’d worked in different industries, managed people, built relationships, sold, marketed, organised events, had successes, made mistakes and learned A LOT along the way. Eventually all of those different chapters somehow brought us here.

What we knew from the beginning was that we didn’t want to build an agency where people handed over their social media and became another name on a spreadsheet. We wanted to know the people behind the businesses.

We wanted clients to ring us with their ideas, tell us what they’re worried about and send us the slightly chaotic voice note that starts with “right... hear me out.”

And that’s probably the thing we’re most proud of now. We’ve built a business, yes. But we’ve also built this little community around it. Clients who recommend us, trust us, bring us into other parts of their businesses and genuinely feel like part of the Pinc Sheep journey.

We have some pretty big dreams for where this is going. But no matter how much Pinc Sheep grows, we never want to lose that.

Two sisters, a growing flock and a lot more still to come. ♥️

If we were heading into Q4 with a business right now, these are three things we’d be thinking about. 👀

Less perfect. More human.
Make your content searchable.
And stop judging whether something “worked” purely by how many likes it got.

Social media is changing, but the fundamentals really aren’t.

Be useful. Be memorable. Be human.
And give people a reason to talk about your business when you’re not in the room. That’s what we’ll be focusing on for our clients going into Q4.

And if you’re reading this thinking “we really need to sort our socials before Christmas...”

We own a social media agency… and our own socials have been pretty quiet this August.

We actually stopped and looked at what August has looked like behind the scenes…

3 new website clients.
2 websites completed.
2 sets of brand guidelines.
5 content shoots.
150+ social media posts created.
Client strategies being implemented.
Newsletters, blogs, editing, client calls, emails… and all the boring admin that comes with actually running a business. 😂

So no, our own page might not be thriving right now.
But our clients are. And we are too. And maybe that’s the reminder we needed ourselves…

Here’s to doing the work, enjoying the summer where we can, dropping the guilt… and remembering that quiet online doesn’t mean quiet in business. 🫶🏻
