Finishing the year off strong! 💪

Over the last week I completed an SEO project for a highly respected dog training company in Nottingham.

This is a business who rank incredibly well across the country, all except for London.

And when I say respected, I mean their clients include Ferne McCann, Frankie & Wayne Bridge, Romesh Ranganathan and endless other celebrities and sports stars.

And once again our premium SEO services have delivered for these guys. Within just hours of finishing the newly created pages we started to see them rank all over Google for multiple searches. Just one day later and they're now dominating searches for reactivity dog training in London.

One of the few things I remember from Business Studies A Level was Kaizen - a Japanese business philosophy that aims to make small changes over time to drive ongoing improvement.

I bombed out of most of my education, mostly because I've always struggled to apply myself to anything that I'm not interested in. But when I find something that does interest me, look out, as I'll obsess and dedicate all of my time and energy to it.

One of the unique features I created for my clients at Ranked & Ready is automated Google Review Images, an automation that detects when a new 5* review comes in and generates a Canva style image with the review, adds this as an update on their Google profile and saves the image to my Dropbox to send them for their own social media content.

This then sends extra signals to Google about how active you are and ultimately helps you grow your business.

One of the issues however was the spelling mistakes and punctuation errors that people would leave in their reviews, which ultimately end up in their review images.

Since November 1st I've been rolling out a new improvement on this, a spell checking step in the automation which tidies the text before creating the image, as you'll see in the following before and afters.

So I'm proud to show case yet another example of Kaizen in my business, continuous improvements for my clients without charging them any more money for the added benefits:

When you look after 70+ Google Business Profiles on behalf of your clients SOP's become essential.

One of the first tasks I carry out each morning is check whether there are any "Updates" to my client's profiles. Updates generally come in two forms:
- Auto updates by Google's systems which crawl the internet
- Suggested Edits by a member of the public who has interacted with your business profile.

We recently saw a huge update from Google where social media links were updated automatically by Google, many of which were incorrect, so if you haven't already checked then it's worth doing.

Take a look at this update from this morning for one of my clients who recently bought this accountancy practice and rebranded it under their own name. Google decided to automatically link the X account of the previous business owner to the business profile even though this person is no longer involved in the business.

Thankfully these are things we check on a daily basis and has been caught early and removed quickly.

Ai Overview Ranking in 3 hours 👀 🚀

That's right.

This morning I checked if my business showed up in the Ai Overview when asking who the most affordable SEO agency in Llanelli is, but it didn't show up anywhere as I had no presence in Llanelli.

Well as many of you know I'm on a 4 day live stream course right now specifically learning about ranking in Ai Overview, so I decided to use this as an opportunity to test what I've learned...

Well check it out. From not showing up at all to showing up as THE best choice in Google's eyes, showing up in the description, a link on the right hand side and then the website showing up right underneath it.

HUGE AI Annoucement for the UK - Google AI Mode

It's been announced that Google's new AI Mode is being launched in the UK TODAY, far sooner than we were being told.

Google have noticed that people are using platforms like ChatGPT for our searches because it cuts out the waffle, the padding and nonsense that's often wrapped around the story.

ChatGPT gives you on the necessary information that you need.

But what doesn't ChatGPT do? It doesn't give you an instant call to action, a call button, a WhatsApp button, the ability to quickly see the number of reviews, their opening hours or location. So even after ChatGPT search we still revert back to Google to find the companies contact details.

Google have noticed this and are adapting.

The realise that people don't want the SEO content wrapped around the answer. We just want the answer.

This is the birth of AI Mode.

Google searches will soon become like using ChatGPT, prioritising those Google Business Profiles that they value the most.

So those businesses who are updating their profiles most often with content and reviews are going to be most rewarded.

Imagine This:

You've driven 6 hours from Chorley to Swansea for a weekend away. When you arrive you realise you've forgotten the key to your roof box!

What do you do? You could back for the key? You could also destroy the box while trying to break in to it.

This genius was clever enough to Google an emergency locksmith and was lucky enough to find Phil.

Why Phil? Well at All Things Locks they have such an amazing setup of equipment that the customer only needed to send a photo of the key from Chorley and Phil could make a copy using the key code from his workshop before driving to Swansea.

As you'll see in the video Phil was able to turn up, key in hand and simply unlock the box for the customer.

Minimal disruption, zero damage to the roof box and a weekend in Swansea carries on as usual.

Everyone's a winner and that's why All Things Locks deserve to be at the top of Google!
