We are looking for a Social Video Editor to join us working across two of Reach’s national brands - Mirror and Express Online, this is a fantastic opportunity to accelerate revenue from our social media video and identify opportunities for growth.
More people in the UK and Ireland choose a Reach brand for their news, entertainment and sport than any other commercial publisher, with a combined print and digital reach of 48m a month.
We own over 130 trusted national and local media brands, including the Mirror, Express, Star and OK! magazine, and reach a whopping 80% of the UK online population. We’re also home to 21 of the top 25 regional titles in the UK, including the Manchester Evening News, Liverpool Echo and MyLondon.

This role is a 6 month fixed term contract, we are happy to be flexible about working options. We're open to candidates looking for a hybrid role linked to one of our hubs across the UK or home based working options. Please note you will need to be based in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
What will the role involve?
You will work in a team that takes ownership of our social video content across the national network while supporting the acceleration of our social video views across the national network, working closely with the rest of the social media team to identify trends and oversee and produce live social video content, as well as native video edits.
Ensuring consistency of posting across platforms and brand considerations while covering live events and breaking news across social platforms. You will edit videos for each of our brands and know what works for each title and each platform along with identifying new opportunities across social video.
The Ideal Candidate
Who are we looking for?
An excellent communicator you are able to create videos with flair, passion and skill with attention to detail so you can edit and produce accurately under pressure. You are a confident writer who is able to write clear and concise captions to accompany videos with strong knowledge of IPSO and editorial conduct issues along with an understanding of how to optimise video to make it engaging on social media.
