Anyone recognise the top logo on the first photo?
Of course this gem is from this weeks episode.
The look on ‘s face, when it was unveiled by his team, painted a clear picture of how he felt.
When I saw his team scupper his his idea and replace it with this Zip Zap clip art logo, I thought I’d try to put together a logo to fit his vision.
While I’m not completely sold on the name, he definitely knew his target market, something that the team ignored.
The quick logo I’ve created includes two modern and edgy customised logo types.
The icon itself is made up of a bolt ⚡️ and a motorbike 🏍. Plus it makes for a cool pattern.

Having grown up in a pub, this logo and branding challenge from was right up my street.
The key insights I got from the brief were that the look had to be warm and joyful.
The brief stated that traditional was key, but the examples they provided had a modern touch to them.
For my design I used a traditional looking serif, paired with a san serif that looks hand drawn.
Instead of using an image of a hop as the main focal point, I used a negative space beer bottle in the “Hop”.
The colours are punchy and convey the message that it is a traditional brand with a modern twist.
The packaging examples are eye catching, with different IPA’s in the range being given quirky names and different distinguishing colours.
I hop-e you like all the puns I’ve included.

Today I’m celebrating the ones that didn’t quite make it, or the ones that I’ve created as practice but not given the spotlight too.
I love this collection of logo marks as it reminds me of the journeys that previous projects have taken me on, and the skills I’ve picked up along the way as a result.
Let me know which one you like the best in the comments below.

✖️
Really enjoyed working on this logo design for the guys at Tracker Trading FX.
They specialise in providing journals to help FX Traders log trades back test and become more disciplined in the art of trading.
The design incorporates a slender wolf in tracker mode, walking across trading candlesticks.
Paired with a gold/ black colour scheme and a customised type, I really like the look achieved here.
As part of the wider visuals that will be used in the journals, I also created a bull and bear, which are terms in trading.

As part of logo challenge I’ve created this logo that incorporates a arched gate, a lock and a house as part of the brief.
For the type, I’ve gone for a clean and bold san serif.

Really enjoyed creating this bold and minimalistic branding for my good friend .
George is a hugely personable and engaging personality who loves to provide fun and engaging training sessions.
In his own words he is a “jiu jitsu loving, space chimp” and wanted a logo to match his personality.
When first showing him the logo concept, he described the design as looking like it “had been hand crafted by machine elves.”
The futuristic GS is actually an ambigram which means it can be read either way up, with the reflection representing the one to one sessions he provides.
The shape of the logo is that of an abstract egg timer, representing the time you need to put in to improve your fitness and lifestyle.
If you scroll through, the explosion of colour used in the pallet really is eye catching, looks great in the mock-ups.

As part of I’ve come up with this quick and quirky logo for fictional company “Bespoke Mountain Bikes”
The idea behind this is to use the shape of a down hill mountain bike run combined with an abstract B.
The type uses a custom twist giving it an active bold look.
Paired with some cool mock-ups, I really enjoyed creating the brand image for this one.

Great to see that the guys at got the green light to go ahead with the music and food festival today.
Here’s the bold but playful logo and animation I’ve created for them.
The logo itself is a nod to all the heritage sites from around Buxton, centred around the park where it is being held.

As a part of my recent project, I got to create this cool, dynamic and playful logo animation.
