Found a mistake on your Wikipedia page?

Step away from the edit button 🚨

It's one of the most common mistakes out there. Wikipedia isn't your website or press kit — it's a neutral, community-built encyclopedia, and that neutrality is the whole reason a page there carries weight.

The moment you edit it like it's yours, you risk undermining the very thing that makes it valuable (and triggering some very public warning banners in the process).

There's a right way to get changes made — and it's not the edit button.

Your first impression is no longer the moment you step onto the stage.

It is rarely in a concert hall any more.

It is a website, a clip, a profile, often in a room you will never be in.

And here is the strange part: some of the greatest artists alive are nearly invisible in that room, while less familiar names have built huge communities and followings, regardless of where they sit musically.

The two were never on the same axis. Presence has never measured artistry.

What has changed is that the introduction now happens first, and online.

Building one doesn't make you less of an artist. It just means the work gets a fair hearing.
