In early 2023, Kathryn made the strategic decision to set aside social media activity and focus on other, stronger marketing channels and activities, and it worked. We grew our client base, were able to give more attention to other areas of the business, improve on some of our products, and in particular, invest more time in the courses and growth of Think King Institute.
The reason we decided to pause social was because we saw a significant shift in the way users interact and engage with social media, becoming more desensitised to 'the noise'. Combined with hub business models and AI, the crowd became even noisier and people were switching off. The effort outweighed the return, and devalued our offer. Social media has moved place within the sales funnel.
BUT, this won't be the same for all businesses, and every businesses route is different.
But it seemed a shame not to pause and take a moment to wish you all some Christmas Cheer and a very Happy New Year!
