🌿 Day Two Highlights 🌿
A brilliant second day at Anthropy UK and another jam-packed one for The Wilful Group team. A few standout moments:
Day Two at Anthropy25 brought another round of insightful, honest and necessary conversations, here’s a few key moments from us.
📺 As the official comms partners for Anthropy the team secured a piece of BBC Spotlight coverage with Anthropy Founder John O’Brien MBE, plus a second broadcast interview from the Eden Project - more the come on that!
🎙️ The day opened with a keynote from Leader of the Opposition, Kemi Badenoch, addressing growth, regulation and generational opportunity. Her remarks sparked discussion throughout the day, particularly around climate targets and the role of business in shaping a future that works for everyone.
🪑 Our Co-Founder Narda Shirley moderated a timely panel on governance in a changing world, exploring the evolving responsibilities of Non-Executive Directors. The session featured a brilliant line-up of speakers: Rita Clifton CBE (John Lewis Partnership), Steve Holliday (CityFibre and Zenobē), Vicky Moffatt (Chapter Zero), and Vivienne Artz OBE FCSI (Hon) CMgr CCMI AIGP (FTSE Women Leaders Review), who shared insight on leadership, diversity and the shift from compliance to culture.
💻 Later in the day, we hosted our own panel, “How Do We Break the Doom Scroll for Positive Change?”, exploring the mental health impact of digital content and the need for more balanced, inclusive media ecosystems. Chaired by Narda, the conversation brought together Sarah Gordon (Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change & the Environment), Dr Amrit Kaur Purba (University of Cambridge), Kamilah McInnis (BBC News), and Jim Morrison 🌱 (Nourish – Healthy Media), whose combined perspectives made for a thoughtful and grounded discussion on social media, regulation, and the role of content creators and platforms to a packed audience!
🔥 The day ended with an in-depth fireside chat between Will Hutton and our Managing Director Nikki Francis-Jones, delving into national renewal, economic responsibility, and what it will take to rebuild public confidence and industrial ambition in the UK.
