After working with over 22 clients in the last 4 years as a business strategist and digital marketing agency owner, this is what I see over and over again:

Lack of clarity.

The lack of clarity leads to adding on more services, products, hiring more people, expanding your operations etc - all to end up with a business that isn't just growing in size and revenue, but also in complexity and ease of management (or lack thereof).

The business complexity ends up being one of the things that keeps founders working long exhausting hours.

And sure, you get satisfaction, because it's your business...

But sometimes you forget that you used to actually enjoy it.

But in the meantime you got used to the status quo and going with the flow.

So you take a holiday...

But you're still working while your children are by the pool.

What you actually need is not another holiday.

It's not more people. Or more services/products.

What you need is a bouncing board who sees the big picture and where you have energy and resource leaks.

Someone who sees your business and vision clearly and reflects it back at you.

That's when you gain clarity.

Once you've got that, your vision gets clearer. And your operations smoother.

But it all starts with clarity.

Clarity is the new currency in business.

Sounds a bit too easy to be true. Yet the devil's in the details.

At 16, I was juggling two worlds: modeling and competing in school Olympics. 🎬🏅

Sounds like a far cry from running a business, right?

It kinda is.

But here's what it taught me that I now use every single day as a business consultant and marketing strategist:

1️⃣ Discipline and Consistency:

Whether you're practicing for a race or prepping for a campaign launch, it's the small, consistent actions that make a big impact over time.

I mean, I used to run 10k and a day oat a minimum to just maintain my figure.

And had to learn 10x more than my classmates while living the glam life being driven in limos here and there.

However, being a mom adds a special spin to this.

Anyway

2️⃣ Resilience: In modeling and Olympics, rejection is common.

In business, it's about facing the "no's" and finding your "yes" faster.

Staying resilient is key to both.

RESILIENCE has been THE HARDEST thing to accept and apply in my business.

3️⃣ Strategic Thinking

Just like an athlete plans their race, I help businesses plan their growth.

And trust me, I was planning well to run 10k in under 50 minutes every day, snow or rain.

I was planning well to get those high scores in the various school subjects I was competing in Olympics.

A lot of planning, reading, learning and CRITICAL THINKING.

I was never a parrot and that can't only take you far anyway.

Whether it's brand strategy or lead generation, it's about making every move count. 🏃‍♀️

Right after my first year at uni, I landed an internship which transformed into a job at the biggest auction house in the country.

👸 And the headquarters were in a palace in the centre of the capital city.

Yeah, pretty fancy.

And back then, influencers and posting on social media was the new thing, so my job was a lot of PR, data and social media.

But apart from the dreamy experiences I had there, I learned a few things about business:

1️⃣ You're always looking for new business, actively asking for the sale and promoting, no matter what stage you're at.

The idea that at some point you're just getting referrals or clients come to you is valid - companies like that exist - but for massive growth, you still have to go out there and make it happen.

2️⃣ Presentation is Power.

How a piece is presented can double its selling price. The same applies to your business.

If you're struggling to charge the price it's worth, it's a mindset and positioning thing.

3️⃣ Consumer behaviour and motivation to buy should be your middle name.

I quickly learned that some people were looking for a bargain, while others were looking for rare or meaningful pieces.

When you know those things, you know how to speak in a way that sells your stuff to the ideal person who's happy to pay those prices.

😎 It's all about the value through and through

What you learn in this world, including the ultra luxury world, is that people care about stories, legacies, and experience as much as they care about money.

No matter the level or the price, VALUE is what we all care about. And the beautiful thing about this is that value looks different from one person to another.

So find out what YOUR clients and customers value, and double down on that in your content, on your website and emails.

After all, we all like stories, and my story in the professional world started there, at the palace.

And it continued to MANY more places, which have all taught me about business, leadership, market and sales.

So what I'd like you to take away from this is this:

Invest in your dreams, go out there, make it happen, know your dream buyers and tell them how you add value to their life.

I want to see less bad marketing done by businesses with great products & services.

Most of these businesses play small because the people who run them lack clarity and expert knowledge in how to do things.

Most of the entrepreneurs out there started their business and got good at their craft while they grew the business slowly and steadly...

But they never had the chance to take a step back and address the elephant in the room:
