You aren't being 'SALESY' when you talk about your product or service. You're being a business owner.
Your content strategy is a giant waste of time if you aren't including promotional content. You certainly don't need to shove your offer down their throats and there are several unique ways to sell without actually selling !
1️⃣ Solve Problems :
Our favorite. Your target audience has a problem, fear, or pain point that your business is solving, right? Link those problems to your offer and show your audience how you can help alleviate said problems with your content.
2️⃣ How-To's and Tutorials :
Product? Put it to action by showing your audience different ways to use it, wear it, pair it with something, etc. Service? Educate your audience with a helpful step-by-step how-to post to position yourself as an expert in your industry.
3️⃣ UGC :
User Generated Content. It's essentially using content that other people have created for your brand, and is especially helpful with selling products! If your product has been tagged in a post, re-share it! If you're ready to take your content strategy above & beyond, look into influencers to create UGC for you. This proves that other people use and love what your business, making it easier for more people to become loyal fans.
4️⃣ Storytelling :
An excellent way to sell your offer is to offer up a story that relates to your audience. Keep your relatable content entertaining or easy to consume and share. This will build a level of understanding & trust with your customer, making it easier for them to buy!
Your customers need to know what you have to offer if they're ever to purchase from you - talk about it !
