Most brands still try to sell big ideas with… PDFs.

Or static visuals.

Or a few slides at a conference stand.

And then wonder why nothing happens.

When Pizza Hut needed franchise owners to invest in upgrading their restaurants, that approach wasn’t going to cut it.

So instead, they let them step inside the future.

They experienced it. Walked through it. Ordered food in it.

👉 An immersive VR environment that brought the concept to life, before a single penny was spent on refurbishment.

When real investment is on the line, people don’t just need information.

They need confidence.
They need clarity.
They need to feel it.

This is where immersive tech stops being a gimmick and starts driving real business outcomes.

If you’re trying to sell a vision, win buy-in, or bring a concept to life…

This is worth a look.

Helping patients find their way through a hospital shouldn’t add to their stress, but too often, it does.

At St Bartholomew's Hospital, oncology patients may need to navigate multiple departments, entry points, and routes, often under already difficult circumstances.

So we partnered with Barts Health NHS Trust to create something better.

A personalised digital navigation tool that:
– Guides patients from arrival to appointment step-by-step
– Adapts based on entry point, destination, and transport method
– Uses 360 imagery, fly-through video, and a multilingual AI avatar
– Prioritises accessibility, including step-free routes and low-data modes

The goal was simple: reduce confusion, ease anxiety, and help people get where they need to be - on time and with confidence.

The impact?
👉 96% of users rated the experience 4/5 or higher

This is a great example of how digital experiences can go beyond “nice to have” and deliver real, human value, especially in complex environments like healthcare.

If you're thinking about how to make your spaces, services, or systems easier to navigate, there’s a lot to learn here.

Upcoming event: 7th May 🎺 Book it in!

Most event teams are curious about immersive tech, but when it comes to actually using it, the same questions come up every time:

-What actually works (vs what just looks cool)?
-How much budget do we really need?
-Will it genuinely drive engagement, or just be a gimmick?
-How are leading brands using it effectively?

So instead of another webinar, we’re doing something different.

➡️On May 7th, we’re running a live Virtual Tech Clinic.

No slides. No pitch.

Just a small, interactive session where you can ask anything, and get straight answers from expert, Jay.

👉 Bring your real challenges
👉 Get practical, honest advice
👉 Leave with ideas you can actually use

You can ask things like:

“How could this work for our next exhibition stand?”
“What kind of experience would fit our audience?”
“What’s realistic on our budget?”
“How do we make it impactful, not gimmicky?”

We’re also inviting attendees to submit questions in advance, and we’ll deep-dive into a few live.

Spaces are limited to keep it genuinely interactive.

If you’ve been thinking about immersive tech but aren’t sure where to start, this is for you.

Meditation is not always easy.
Not the idea of it.
The doing it.
Consistently.
Especially without guidance.

That’s something we kept coming back to while working on a recent VR project with House of Wisdom. https://circus360.uk/work/visualising-dua-in-vr/

They run in-person sessions that help people build a more personal, reflective practice. They’re powerful, but like most great experiences, they rely on being in the room with the right facilitator.

So we explored a simple question:

👉 Can you take that guided, reflective experience… and make it available anytime through VR?

The answer wasn’t to overcomplicate things. It was to design something that helps people focus.

We built a chapter-based VR experience that blends:
– guided voice
– spatial audio
– and immersive environments that support different states of reflection

Users can move through themes like gratitude, clarity, challenge and letting go. Or just drop into the one they need in that moment.

The environments do a lot of the heavy lifting.

Not in a 'look at this cool tech' way, but in a way that helps you stay present:
Light, movement, sound - all working together to guide attention, not distract from it.

One of the biggest challenges?
Making sure the tech gets out of the way.

Because if it doesn’t feel seamless, it breaks the whole point.

What’s exciting is what this opens up.

VR isn’t just for entertainment. It has real potential in meditation, wellbeing, and guided experiences, especially when access and consistency are the biggest barriers.

Still early days, with most people using apps on mobile, but we can see this shifting over time.

Would love to hear how others are thinking about VR beyond gaming...

Our Head of Growth and Marketing, Liz, recently attended the latest European Space Agency workshop, hosted by the UK Space Agency.

Across conversations with UKSA and others in the space ecosystem, there was curiosity around making complex systems, programmes and ideas more accessible - not just for specialists, but for wider audiences, stakeholders and future talent.

That’s exactly where we're seeing immersive technology prove its value - particularly within operations, logistics and HR departments within large organisations.

Immersive tech is helping:
⬛Scale outreach and education
⬛Enhance training and onboarding
⬛Make complex environments easier to understand
⬛Strengthen stakeholder engagement
⬛Deliver high-impact experiences within budget constraints

For us, this feels like the start of deeper collaboration with organisations in and around the space sector, contributing to how the industry communicates, engages and evolves.

Thanks to everyone for the open and insightful conversations.

If you’re working in the space sector (or adjacent to it) and thinking about how to better engage your audiences, we'd love to connect.

🎪 Meet the Creative Team at Circus

In this series, we’re introducing some of the people who design, develop and produce the virtual experiences our clients rely on.

Next up: from our brilliant web development team, James

James is methodical and eagle-eyed, with more than 12 years of experience ensuring every build is robust, accessible and delivered to the highest standards.

We asked James a few questions. Here’s what he had to say 👇

🔮 In 2026, what will the very best virtual experiences look like - and why?

The best virtual experiences in 2026 will be defined by one simple idea: they’ll be designed for everyone.

Accessibility will be a core principle rather than an afterthought. That means experiences that work across devices, are easy to navigate, and are usable by people with different abilities, languages, and levels of technical confidence.

They’ll also feel like a natural extension of a brand, rather than a standalone piece of content. The most successful virtual environments will reinforce the brand’s identity, storytelling and values.

Artificial intelligence and personalisation will also play a growing role in making these experiences richer and more flexible.

🛑 What assumption about virtual experiences is quietly holding brands back?

The belief that virtual experiences “aren’t for their audience.”

Many organisations still associate immersive digital experiences with specific sectors - gaming, entertainment, or technology - when in reality, almost any industry can benefit from them. The key is not the technology itself, but how it’s used to solve a real communication challenge.

Another misconception is that virtual experiences require expensive VR headsets or specialist equipment. While VR can certainly add another layer of immersion, most modern experiences can run directly in a web browser. That means anyone with a laptop, tablet, or smartphone can explore them instantly.

🚀 What excites you most about where web development is heading, and how does that translate into better outcomes for clients?

One of the most exciting developments in web technology is how much more we can now do directly in the browser.

In the past, immersive experiences often required downloads, plugins, or specialised software. Today, modern browsers are powerful enough to handle complex 3D environments and interactive features on their own. That opens the door to virtual experiences that feel like a natural extension of a company’s website rather than a completely separate platform. For clients, that means a far more seamless journey for their users.

At the same time, improvements in consumer devices mean better performance and smoother interactions. The average laptop or smartphone today is far more capable than it was just a few years ago, allowing richer experiences to run reliably across a wide range of devices.

It's that time again, the end of another quarter. Our HQ team have been busy discussing next steps and goals for Q2 - shifting into higher gear ready for the summer months ahead.

In a world like ours, expectations are constantly shifting. We're always refining, defining, realigning. Nothing stays the same. Our clients' visions and dreams continue to be bolder and more diverse, while the world around us continues to change.

In the last quarter alone we've worked with teams in manufacturing, engineering, PR and branding, education, healthcare, property, events, immersive venues - to name a few.

We've been discussing everything from virtual events, virtual showrooms, 360 tours and virtual wayfinding tools, to using immersive technology in low-middle income countries, immersive tech for the Space industry and VR training tools for enterprises.

It's been an exciting time, and now we're curious how the next few months will unfold. Watch this space!

Thanks again to The Thomas Cubitt Belgravia for hosting us.
If you haven't already, you have to try out their new menu, it's delicious!
