What I’ve learned managing social media for 10 businesses 💻✨

After 4 years as a freelance content creator & social media manager, I’ve worked with 10 different businesses, and every one taught me something new. These lessons now shape how I work 👇

✨ Strategy is everything
Posting consistently without a clear strategy rarely leads to meaningful results. Get crystal clear on your content pillars, audience & goals before you post.

✨ You don’t have to say yes to every client
The right client fit matters. Communication, results, and longevity all improve when the vibe is right. If it’s off from the start, I say no.

✨ Contracts & boundaries are non-negotiable
Always have a contract (with a notice period). Set expectations early, and protect your time. I don’t answer calls, texts, or emails outside office hours.

✨ Define your role early
“Social media management” means different things to different businesses. Clarify responsibilities upfront. 🚩 If there’s no marketing team and you’re expected to do everything.

✨ Processes matter as much as creativity
Strong systems = better results. Posting calendars, workflows, and clear communication from day one make all the difference.

It’s not every day you receive an invite to one of London’s most prestigious members only clubs, so attending Annabel’s exclusive press preview was truly a standout moment. 🌿🐆

As part of the experience, we explored The Jungle Bar and enjoyed a curated selection of canapés and cocktails crafted with Cincoro tequila. It was also inspiring to learn that Annabel’s for the Amazon has raised over £5.2 million to date, with 100% of proceeds directed to the Foundation’s environmental initiatives.

So grateful to have been invited to this iconic institution in Mayfair, such a memorable evening and a wonderful opportunity to collaborate with a fab brand. Looking forward to more partnerships and creative projects ahead!

The South Bank installation in London was a standout, transforming the space into an interactive pop up that showcased WhatsApp’s commitment to privacy and secure communication in a truly innovative way.

As a creator, it’s always inspiring to collaborate on projects that blend brand storytelling, experiential marketing, and audience engagement on such an international scale.

Content creation and review for the beautiful Sopwell House in Hertfordshire. This historic Georgian house is a luxury hotel, country club and spa. Loved The Brasserie restaurant and Octagon Bar as well as the spa. How beautiful are the rooms with their elegantly tasteful interior design? ✨🤍

End of an era for my beautiful Mayfair client!

After five amazing years, this stylish restaurant, bar, private members’ club, and sh**ha lounge is closing its doors, but only to come back bigger and better! They’ll be reopening later this year in a stunning, much larger venue, still in the heart of Mayfair.

For the past two years, I’ve had the privilege of growing their social media presence by over 20,000 organic followers, planning unforgettable events, booking top influencers, and capturing all their content.
