🚨 KIDNAPPED ANAMBRA BUSINESSMAN, CHIEF SIR JOSEPH EBERE EZEOKAFOR (JEZCO), REGAINS FREEDOM
Chief Sir Joseph Ebere Ezeokafor, Chairman of Jezco Group of Companies, popularly known as Jezco, has regained his freedom after spending days in captivity.
Ezeokafor, who is the father of popular social media personality Jowi Zaza, was reportedly abducted in the early hours of Tuesday while on his way to a prayer ground in Awka, Anambra State.
Reports indicate that his abductors contacted his family and initially demanded a ransom of ₦700 million, before allegedly increasing the demand to ₦1.5 billion.
At the time of this report, details surrounding his release — including whether a ransom was paid and where he was released — remain unclear.
His freedom is, however, a huge relief to his family, friends, associates and well-wishers, as his abduction had caused widespread concern across Anambra State and beyond.
Chief Ezeokafor is the founder of Jezco Oil and Lubricants, a company he established in 1980 and later expanded into other areas of manufacturing and business.
šŸ™ Thank God for his safe return. May he and his family find peace and strength following this traumatic experience.

Odogwu Asaba has reportedly been taken to the State CID in Asaba, where he is expected to face further investigation and legal proceedings.

Some people on Facebook have continued to criticize and blame the late Miss Favour Agbro. However, according to the writer, there are numerous conversations and other evidence that tell a different story. While not all of the messages will be made public, it is claimed that they have been preserved and will be presented in court.

Among the conversations allegedly exchanged between them are messages in which Favour pleaded for financial assistance to seek medical treatment after claiming she was sexually assaulted by him. It is further alleged that instead of offering support, he threatened and intimidated her, telling her to involve her parents or the police if she wished. The writer believes these responses caused her significant emotional distress.

The writer also alleges that Favour repeatedly sought help because her family could not afford her treatment. According to the statement, this tragedy could have been prevented if greater compassion, responsibility, and self-control had been shown.

It is further claimed that although Favour had insisted she would not travel to Abuja to meet a man she had only been chatting with online and had vowed to remain a virgin until marriage, she was persuaded to travel to Asaba instead. The writer alleges that after several days of asking for help, she received only ₦10,000, despite being told there was no money, and was later met with threats and intimidation that allegedly contributed to her emotional struggles.

Senate to Gov. Makinde: Withdraw UN Investigation Request
The Senate has called on Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde to withdraw his request for a United Nations-led investigation into the abduction and rescue of pupils and teachers from schools in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.
The resolution followed Tuesday's plenary, where all 108 senators unanimously commended the successful rescue of the victims after 56 days in captivity.
Leading the debate, Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele praised the efforts of President Bola Tinubu, the Armed Forces, the DSS, the Nigeria Police Force, the NIA, and other security agencies for securing the victims' freedom.
Senator Adams Oshiomhole criticized Governor Makinde's call for a UN probe, describing it as "not statesmanly" and "politics taken too far." He argued that the request diminished the sacrifices of the security personnel involved in the operation. His motion urging the governor to withdraw the request was adopted by the Senate.
Lawmakers also paid tribute to security personnel who lost their lives during the rescue mission and urged the Federal Government to ensure their families receive all benefits and entitlements.
The Senate further called on security agencies to sustain the momentum by intensifying efforts to rescue other victims still in captivity, particularly schoolchildren in Borno State and other parts of the country, while strengthening operations against terrorists, kidnappers, and bandits nationwide.
Governor Makinde has maintained that an independent UN-led investigation would help establish the full circumstances surrounding the abduction and ensure accountability for anyone found responsible.

BREAKING: Security Forces Rescue 44 Kidnapped Oyo Pupils, Teachers After Month-Long Operation

Security forces have rescued 44 pupils and teachers who were kidnapped in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State after a coordinated month-long operation targeting the criminal network behind the abduction.

The intelligence-led mission was spearheaded by the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 2 Division, Major General C.R. Nnebeife, with support from the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA), the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC), Defence Headquarters, the Nigerian Army, Navy and Air Force, the Nigeria Police Force, Department of State Services (DSS), National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Amotekun Corps, local vigilantes and hunters.

Military authorities said the operation focused on identifying and arresting the kidnappers’ leaders, dismantling their logistics network, destroying their camps in the Old Oyo National Park, and tracking down their informants. Several suspects were arrested in Oyo State and other parts of the country, forcing the criminal group to release all 44 victims unconditionally.

The Army said the rescue mission was carefully planned to ensure the victims were freed safely without collateral damage. Some security personnel, however, sustained casualties during the operation. The rescued pupils and teachers are currently receiving medical attention at an undisclosed hospital before being reunited with their families through the Oyo State Government.

Major General Nnebeife praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Seyi Makinde, the National Security Adviser, the Minister of Defence, service chiefs, security agencies and local communities for their support throughout the operation. He also called on Nigerians to continue sharing credible intelligence to strengthen efforts against kidnapping and other forms of insecurity.

Investigations and follow-up operations are ongoing as security agencies intensify efforts to arrest the remaining members of the criminal network.

Minister of Defence Christopher Musa has ordered security personnel deployed for counter-terrorism and anti-banditry operations to take immediate action against armed criminals without waiting for directives from superiors.

Speaking in Sokoto State during the commissioning of 62 operational vehicles and security equipment worth ₦27.127 billion provided by the state government, Musa warned that hesitation in confronting terrorists and bandits would not be tolerated.

ā€œOnce you are deployed, do not wait for any order from anybody to shoot any bandit or any terrorist. Anybody who refuses to shoot or kill any bandit or terrorist in the name of waiting for an order, we will treat you like a bandit,ā€ the minister said.

Musa also reminded personnel that the newly commissioned equipment was procured with public funds and must be used effectively to protect lives and property, while urging them to remain professional and avoid harassing innocent citizens during operations.
