Storo Moving Stories to Connect, Inspire action, Drive Change | Visual Storytelling | Film | Images | Advertising Stories connect, transform, and educate.

STORO is a visual storytelling studio for purpose-led people and brands founded by director, creative producer, and photographer Riccardo Sai. Bringing together a dynamic pool of creatives with a shared ambition for empowering change, STORO exists to create meaningful visual narratives for leaders seeking to have a social and environmental impact, inspire action, and do good. Stories beyond words

are at the heart of our mission. They make you memorable. They spark empathy. And they can absolutely change the world. Stories are the most powerful way to relate to, engage with, and inspire your audience. And they unfold when images move. We produce photography, film, and other visual tools that empower change-making individuals and brands to tell their stories in a way that stands out. As a team, we have helped some of the most purpose-driven organisations in the world to amplify their message and increase their reach including The Home Office, UNICEF, the Gorilla Organization, the Red Cross, the BBC, the Green Party of New Zealand, and the European Union. The goal of STORO is to move people in a new way. To inspire them to see the familiar with new eyes. To raise the profile of change-makers. To put them centre stage and amplify their voices. To bring their stories to life with vibrancy and authenticity. To add beauty and immediacy to whatโ€™s before us all, and with it, new dimensions and depths to how we see the world. If you are ready to tell your story, get in touch.

There is a pattern we keep seeing.

We deeply respect Antรณnio Guterres. Not just as a politician or the Secretary-General of the UN. As a human being who genuinely cares, and who keeps showing up, week after week, with the same urgency and the same honesty.

The thing is, his voice is powerful. His words are right. And yet, in the current geopolitical climate, it is not enough.

People do not act because they understand something intellectually. They act because something lands emotionally, personally. Because a story made them feel it, not just know it.

We do not have a neat answer. But we do believe the solution is not more data or more reports. It is more stories. Creative, honest, beautifully made stories that connect the crisis to real lives, real places, real futures.

So when we watch Guterres speak with that quiet, relentless conviction, we do not feel hopeless. We feel more determined.

Most impact reports disappear unread.

Not because they're not good. Because nobody's telling the story inside them.

The sustainability team has the data. The design team makes it look clean. But somewhere between the research and the PDF, the actual narrative gets buried.

STORO spends a lot of time in this gap. And it's actually one of the most fixable problems out there.

Treating an impact report as a starting point instead of a destination changes everything. It means the data doesn't die on page one. It means the stories that could actually move people finally get told. It means sustainability and comms finally talk to each other.

We wrote something about this. Link here https://www.storo.co.uk/thinking/your-impact-report-is-not-the-story-its-where-the-story-starts

It was very hot the other day. One of those London days where nobody knows what to do with themselves.

We were at a meditation session. And we noticed a man with a huge scar under his knee.

And that's quite interesting about human nature. When we drive past a car accident, we slow down. We look. Horror has a genuine magnetism. It's not a coincidence it's one of the most successful genres in film.

But we're equally drawn to sunsets. To animals. To beauty. The same wiring pulls us toward both.

So what does that mean for impact communications?

For years, there's been a well-worn playbook in the environmental and social impact space. Malnourished children. Climate disaster footage. The distressing image as the hook. There's still a place for that. But it can't be the only story. And it's stopped working the way it once did.

The community that got clean energy for the first time. The startup that cracked a piece of the puzzle nobody else had. The organisation moving the needle, quietly, without anyone telling their story yet.

The most important work happening right now is in climate, energy and the slow rebuild of how we make things. Most of it is still told in language no one outside the industry can follow.

That is one of the reasons we will be at Reset Connect London on 23 and 24 June at ExCeL.
7,500 people. 400 speakers. The investors, founders and policy makers shaping the next decade of net zero, all in one room.

We will be there listening. Looking for the people doing the work, and thinking about how it gets told.
Will you be there too? Send us a note. Coffee, a corridor conversation, or a proper sit-down. We are always glad to meet people who care about this work.

A few months ago, our founder Riccardo got a call from creative collaborator Bryce Groves, asking if STORO would support a project for

The brief was ambitious. A book. More than thirty contributors writing articles from New Zealand to the UK. Local creatives commissioned to produce original photography to sit alongside the words. A creative team curating every detail of the design so the final object would feel as considered as the ideas inside it.
A few months later, the book was published. Launches followed across New Zealand and London, and we were proud to contribute photography and be part of the UK The Conduit.

It was a full house. Editor Tessa Vincent opened the evening with a focus on indigenous wisdom, pragmatic solutions, and innovation. Marie Guerreiro spoke about human connectedness and how it shows up in active and public transport. Lindy Fursman made the case for investing in smart overseas emissions-reduction projects. Thanks also to John Lang and to Georgina Beasley, who pulled all the threads together as MC.
Working on this reminded us of something we have been saying for a long time.

People don't move. The story doesn't land.

So much of communication today is digital. Sitting in a room, holding a printed book, listening to authors speak, watching strangers form their own opinions in real time, was a quiet reminder that print, craft, and human gatherings still matter. Maybe more now than before.

Huge respect to Bryce, Tessa, and the whole team for the care and attention to detail that went into this.

Proud that STORO got to support a project that proves what bold, beautifully crafted communication can do for important work.

Your story is worth it. Don't hide it. Use it. Get it out there.

A few years ago we noticed something simple.

People take photos on their phones of things they like.

Then we found out you could share those photos on Google Maps.

So we did.

Sometimes with a short review. Sometimes just the image.

A few weeks later, Google sent one of those little updates.

Some of the photos had taken off.

Not 12 views. Not 87.

Thousands.

Then tens of thousands.

And we remember thinking:

Wait. These were sitting in a camera roll.

For a few months, we kept going.

We shared places we valued. Places we admired. Places that deserved to be seen by more people.

Sometimes even the most hidden gems.

And it taught us something we still think about:

The camera matters less than the eye.

The eye decides what gets framed in.

And just as important, what gets left out.

That's the part people pay for.

Not the phone. Not the lens. Not the app.

The judgment.

The taste.

The years of noticing what others miss.

Your camera roll is probably full of proof.

Proof of what you care about. Proof of what you notice. Proof of the places, people and projects you think deserve attention.

Phone shots have their place. They're immediate. Honest. Easy to share.

But there's a moment where the story you're telling deserves more than a quick snap.

That's when you bring in someone whose eye you trust

Someone who can see what to frame in, and what to leave out, for the audience you're trying

So here's the question:

What story is sitting in your camera roll that the world should have seen by now?

And is it time to put a trained eye behind it?

Today is the day. Storo relaunches as an impact story agency.

New website. New proposition. And a thought we keep coming back to.

Most organisations doing vital work don't actually have a story problem. The real problem is almost always clarity. Not mission. Not impact. Clarity.

The mission is stated. The impact is real. The work is genuinely important. And still, something doesn't land. Conversations that should create momentum stay polite. Ideas that deserve attention get explained perfectly and then quietly forgotten.

The thing is, people don't act on information. They act on what they feel. And most important work, in the way it gets communicated, arrives flat.

So that is the gap we exist to close.

We move people with stories that matter. That has always been the heart of what we do. We've just spent the last few years learning how to say it properly.

We are proud of everything we have built so far. The clients who trusted us. The partners who have been part of this journey.

And we are genuinely excited about what comes next.

Have a look at the new website. See the work. See the three things we focus on: story strategy, story making, and story skills.

She told the story of when one of their suppliers got caught in a child labour scandal. Tony's was suddenly all over the news for the wrong reasons.

Most companies would have gone quiet and controlled the message. Waited for it to pass.

Tony's did the opposite. They said, "We didn't know, and we are sorry. But we are going to fix it. And you can watch us do it."

We have been thinking about those two words ever since.

Because transparency should just be normal. In any relationship, personal or professional, it should be where you start. But it is not. Too many brands still prefer to mislead, to manipulate, to create needs that don't exist. And too many organisations doing genuinely good work stay quiet because they are worried someone will pick it apart.

And it is everywhere.

The fact that we need the word "radical" in front of transparency in 2026 tells you quite a lot about where we are.

But here is what we keep coming back to.

When you pair that kind of honesty with a mission that goes beyond profit, something shifts. People get on board. Employees, customers, partners. Not because of a campaign, but because they trust you. And trust builds loyalty, culture, and longevity in ways that no ad budget ever will.

Transparency is the most powerful story a brand can tell. Not because it makes you look good. But because it is the foundation of every story that actually matters.

And those are the stories that move people.

Have you seen a brand handle a crisis with honesty and come out stronger? We would love to hear your example.

We are excited to share the second film we produced at Storo for the National Energy System Operator.

This was the highlight of our end-of-year.

National Energy System Operator is the body responsible for running Great Britain's electricity system. Their Power Responsive programme exists to unlock and grow demand-side flexibility across the country, helping businesses, providers, trade bodies, and market actors make flexibility accessible, valuable, and simple to adopt.

Why does flexibility matter?

Flexible electricity use helps Britain balance the grid more efficiently, reduce system costs, integrate more renewable generation, and cut carbon.

It plays a direct role in achieving Clean Power 2030, , and a more resilient energy system. The Power Responsive team engaged us to create a strategy and a campaign of three films to share the Demand Flexibility Service, which plays a significant role, as described by the UK Government

We developed a communication strategy using the power of storytelling.

The campaign is called "๐—™๐—น๐—ฒ๐˜…

Three films. Used on social media and at events to drive engagement.

๐ŸŒ This project is close to our heart.

Important stories deserve to be heard.

Too many organisations doing vital work struggle to communicate it in ways that move people and drive change.

Storo exists to change that.

Our mission is simple: making stories that matter impossible to ignore.

We turn complex impact narratives into powerful campaigns that challenge, inspire, and mobilise audiences to act.
