How I stay Organised as a Social Media Manager who manages Multiple Accounts and tries to not work in the evenings and on weekends.

Monthly Framework and Schedule
This has been a bit trial and error but i have found a good workflow and schedule for the month so everything can stay on track.

To Do Lists
I love a To do list, I write them out daily including all the tasks i need to get done for the day e.g. answering emails, any client calls, writing captions as well any personal tasks that need to get done like cleaning cat litter or doing a food shop.

Templates
I have Templates for everything from invoices to contracts to proposals they just make my life easier and admin so much quicker.

Automations
This is something i am planning on doing more of in the future but for now i only have a few in progress like application forms and auto messages.

Folders and Files
I have folders set up for every client as well as for my own content which include everything so its all in one place whether i need a story sequence or their onboarding form i know where to find it.

Deadlines
I give myself deadlines to get certain pieces of work done e.g. all content scheduled a week before it goes live in doing this it avoids a last minute panic from me and for clients.

If I were managing an interior design company, this is exactly the type of content I'd be posting and why it would work...

You need three content types Attract, Nurture and Conversion content and this content plan includes all of the above.

For Attraction i would post mood boards, inspiration, relatable tips and tricks etc. For Nurture i would post solution awareness, problem solving, team focused content, trust etc. For Conversion i would post Client projects, how you and your team work, behind the scenes of a project in process etc.

This content combined together offers a strong social media presence that will consistently gain new eyes to their account, new people engaging and pressing the follow button and those then becoming ideal new clients for their business and ultimately new sales and revenue.

If your content doesn't do one of these three things then you have a problem with your content strategy.

If you don’t value social media, you won’t invest in it.
And honestly, I’m not interested in working with people who see it as a quick fix.

Because those are usually the people who:
* expect instant results
* want to post immediately without strategy
* give up too early

The clients I work with understand the long-term value of social media, they've seen the results it brings and because of that, they see incredible results month after month continuously.

Why?

Because we focus on the foundations first:
* no rushing the strategy
* no random content
* no posting just for the sake of it

Everything I create has a purpose behind it.

They also trust the process because they’ve seen:
* my own account
* past client results
* clear communication throughout

I say No to More Clients than I Say Yes, Because great work starts with the Right Partnership….

If I don’t get along with my clients it’s going to be very hard to achieve great results and vice versa if they don’t get on well with me they will feel like the results aren’t good enough or that social media doesn’t work. (It Does)

Since starting as a social media manager or even photographer I’ve learnt over time who my ideal client is, what kind of business owner I like to work with and I know after a discovery call or meeting if I want to work with them and if we can achieve results.

I’ve said No a lot more times that I can count because of this but also other factors such as budget, location if needing on site content, unrealistic expectations, micromanaging, little trust etc.

I know not every client is for me because I’ve worked with some nightmare ones, I would rather loose out on revenue than work with them again because you end up paying in so many other ways but I know the right clients will find me and want to work with me because we align together, share the same values, we get on as people.

Here’s why I think you should invest in your social media rather than your email list...

Email lists are limited to only your current subscribers and therefore you are limiting your business to an audience who already want to work with you and talk to the same people over and over again.

With social media you have a lot more opportunities to attract and grow your audience with new accounts but also your current ones, still allowing for that retention you get in email lists.

People rarely open their emails if it’s from an email list and therefore miss out on that information and after a long period of time they will end up being moved to the recycling bin and deleted serving no purpose to you.

Social media allows you to show more personal brand, trust, authority, relevance and educate your audience on a higher level than an email which results in more eyes, more clients and more revenue for your business.

You can use social media to help grow your email list but only if you have a strong social media presence to begin with which means no winging posts that serve no purpose or speak to everyone rather than your ideal audience, no posting at stupid times of the day when nobody will even see your content e.g. 4am or posting poor quality or selfish content.

Remember If your content can’t convert publicly it usually won’t convert privately either, Invest in your social media first for better success.

You post consistently on social media but your follower count hasn't moved in months... You think you need to post more content but you actually need to...

Stop posting the same type of content over and over again and actually think outside of the box instead of relying on your competitors or chatgpt for ideas.

You are posting the same hooks, same trends, same before and afters, same capcut edits and honestly your audience can tell.

For Growth you want your content to stand out, be seen as the go to business in your niche, area and industry.

The Brands that grow experiment with content, new angles, show personality, switch up hooks, focus on connection and community.

Remember to give people a reason to press that follow button.
