Close Ties x Newcomer Wines Present: Bank Holiday, BBQ Terrace Party

On Saturday 2nd May, (Joshua Bratt, The Barbary & Jake Norman, Trullo & B***o) will be taking over Dalston for a one-off Bank Holiday takeover alongside chef .gogan (Carousel, The Clove Club, Tuome*).
Kicking off from 7pm, the party will spill from the bar into Newcomerโ€™s secret garden. Oscar will be cooking Scottish leaning dishes on and off the BBQ throughout the night, such as Devilled Eggs with Worcestershire, whisky & chilli oil, Malt-Glazed Lamb Skewers with wild garlic chimichurri, Tikka Masala Lobster Roll, and Buckfast ice cream.

A special selection from Newcomer cellars will be poured by Close Ties alongside founders Harry East and Alice Bracaglia, as well as Scottish -inspired cocktails such as Bruloma tequila, grapefruit, basil, chilli, Irn-Bru and Cherry Buck tequila, cherry, Buckfast, white vermouth, devised especially for the night.

As always, DJs will soundtrack the night, with Close Ties residents and some surprise guests on the decks.

The new interdisciplinary space above , Upstairs at Hausu, brings together a listening bar, cinema screenings and rotating DJ programming. Designed in-house by .jpg, the room takes cues from Twin Peaksโ€™ Red Room, tactile, dimly lit and slightly surreal.

Driven by the electric undercurrent of Peckhamโ€™s music scene, hi-fi sound has been central to Hausu since day one. Upstairs offers a new way to experience it: jazz and post-punk on rotation, cocktails at the bar, snacks from , and some of Londonโ€™s most eclectic DJs playing late into the night on Fridays and Saturdays.

On Wednesday evenings, and open the doors of their Hackney Iranian-Iraqi cafรฉ and bistro, for Logma Lates: a weekly evening service shaped by their connection to Middle Eastern cafรฉ culture and the bistros that emerged across the region as places to gather, eat, drink tea and talk long into the evening.

Each week, 18 guests are welcomed to sit around a communal candle-lit table or at the counter, as if in Ziad and Farsinโ€™s home, invited to linger, chat, meet new people and be generously fed. The menu is rooted in regional Iraqi and Iranian cooking, drawing on nostalgic flavours from their respective childhoods alongside more traditional dishes that preserve family recipes passed down through generations.

The ยฃ65 menu begins with Sabzi Khordan, a platter of fresh herbs, nuts and olives, before moving through dishes that might include oysters with herb oil, gondhoraj lebu, Aleppo pepper and sumac; arak-cured trout with pickled mango; and cardoon with pea braise Fragrant saffron rice sits at the heart of the table, alongside plates like Duck Fesenjoon - an ancient Persian stew of walnuts and pomegranate traditionally reserved for feasts. The menu changes monthly, finishing with Sholezard, a delicate Iranian saffron rice pudding.

Introducing Ethan Pack , new Head Chef at Three Sheets Soho. He started as part of the core team at Fera by Simon Rogan, when it used to live within the Claridgeโ€™s Hotel. He went on to work with chef Matthew Starling and Martyn Nail, specialising in pastry.

Set within a bend of the River Dart in South Devon, is home to a vineyard and winery, characterful accommodation, and .restaurant - now open for summer.

Led by CEO and head winemaker Duncan Schwab, the estate continues a winemaking tradition in the Dart Valley spanning more than 45 years, with wines shaped by rare soils, a maritime climate and long, cool growing seasons.

At Lower Well Farm, ROAM is the independent, family-run restaurant from restaurateur and chef Ian Alexander, serving generous, seasonal dishes in a relaxed modern bistro setting. The menu celebrates Devon and West Country produce, with influences from Spain and Italy.

ROAM opens from Wednesday to Sunday from 27th March. Sandridge Barton is open daily. A programme of events, seasonal experiences and ongoing developments will unfold across the estate in the coming months.

Last night, we threw a party to debut Upstairs at , by South Londonโ€™s favourite trio , and .m.joseph.

Peckhamโ€™s newest spot for after-dark revelry is perched above the restaurant, a space to whet the whistle with a new cocktail list from .m.joseph, accompanied by hi-fidelity sound with revolving vinyl selections of post-punk, electronic and jazz - think Decius with a side of Salted Iberico Tomato Martini. For snacks, chef โ€™s favourites from the pass โ€“ including beef larb on crispy potatoes, wanton skins with codโ€™s roe and Hausuโ€™s signature take on a prawn toast. We ate, we drank, we danced โ€“ and so can you from this Friday when the bar opens to the public, with a rotating selection of guest DJs taking over the decks.

Logma, the Iraqi and Iranian cafรฉ bistro on Goldsmiths Row in Hackney, officially opens its doors, founded by couple Ziad Halub and Farsin Rabiee.

Inspired by the modern wider Middle Eastern bistros that emerged across the region during the 20th Century, where friends and families gather over food, poetry and politics. Logma invites people to enjoy food rooted in everyday dishes found in Iraqi and Iranian homes, informed by their own lived history and childhoods.

During the day, sell-out Lamb kofte and Aubergine sandwiches along with daily specials, and on Wednesday evenings, Ziad and Farsin open Logma for Logma Lates, welcoming 18 guests to gather around the communal candle-lit table or at the counter. The meal unfolds with dishes that celebrate regional Iraqi and Iranian cooking. Guests are encouraged to bring their own wines to share, with no corkage, adding to the convivial, communal spirit of the evening.

Ziad and Farsin source from regenerative farms and local, sustainable producers, translating regional dishes with ingredients available.

Finsbury Parkโ€™s neighbourhood wine bar and chef residency space has a new chef in the kitchen. Louis-Arnaud Jose has taken over the residency space and will be serving up rustic French classics with Basque and Italian touches from March 10th, until May 17th.

Hailing from Bordeaux, Louis-Arnauld is a classically trained chef who began his culinary journey at some of the most prestigious kitchens of his hometown, including Gordon Ramsayโ€™s Grand Hotel Bordeaux**, Hotel De Pavie** and Au Bon Jaja Bordeaux.

His menu includes Black Mullet Sashimi, Guindillas and Jalapenos Dressing, Fennel Salad, Thai Basil & Sh*take, Seaweed Vol Au Vent, Samphire Salad, Pear Ketchup, Dashi Foam & Pappardelle Ox Ragรน, Guanciale & Fennel Seeds, alongside desserts such as Oxidative Wine Tiramisรน and Black Cardamom and Anis Star Crumble Tart, Salted Caramel Ice Cream.

On Monday 2nd March, Three Sheets Dalston welcomes Barcelonaโ€™s 14 De La Rosa (Worldโ€™s 50 Best Discovery) for a one-night guest shift takeover.

From 6pm, the team will be behind the bar serving classic cocktails and aperitivos, all priced at ยฃ10, in handcrafted vessels by Blow Glassware. The first in a series of events hosted by Max and Noel Venning to mark 10 years of Three Sheets.
