Clients want to know you're properly qualified before they reach out — and that's completely understandable.

List your training, accreditations and memberships clearly on your site, and don't bury them at the bottom of the page where no one will find them.

Trust builds quickly when people feel informed and reassured before they've even sent a message.

Not sure what to include or where to put it? We can guide you through it.

Imagine your website doing that kind of work for your practice. Let's make it happen. Get in touch today.

Potential clients don't always know the difference between therapy approaches, and they shouldn't have to.

Plain, clear language wins every time on a services page.

Explain what you offer, who it helps and what someone can expect from working with you.

Don't assume they already know the terminology.

Make it easy for them to say yes.

Not sure how to explain what you do simply? Let us know and we can explain all about our extra copywriting service.

Your homepage has one job: make someone want to find out more.

Long blocks of text, confusing layouts, stock photos that say nothing and no clear next step all push people away before they've had a chance to connect with you.

Keep it focused, keep it human and make it as easy as possible for someone to take that next step.

Want us to take a look at your homepage? We're always happy to help.

It sounds almost too simple, but it's surprisingly easy to miss.

Log in to your directory profiles and make sure your website address is there, correct and up to date.

An outdated or missing link can quietly cost you enquiries every single week.

While you're there, check your contact details and availability too so they are consistent with the information that's on your site.

While you're at it, make sure everything is consistent across every platform you're listed on.

If your directory profile doesn't link back to your website, you're missing a real opportunity.

Your profile can only do so much so linking back to your website helps potential clients find out more about you before they get in touch, and it sends a positive trust signal to Google at the same time.

It's one of the simplest things you can do and it takes less than five minutes to fix and nowadays, clients look for a website address on your directory listing to find out more about you.

If you are not sure how to add your URL to your listing, let us know!

Directory listings are like tiny ads sitting beside all your competitors, while your own website is your online base that builds trust, looks more professional, and lets you control how you show up online.

With a standalone site you can add blogs, videos, integrate a booking platform, email, and link to your Google Business Profile, so when someone searches “counsellor in [your town]” they find you, not just a long list on a directory.

Want both working together for your practice? That's exactly what we help with.

You can overthink your headshot for your website.

You may think you need a professional photographer but that's not the case.

Good photos don't need to be expensive or done in a studio.

While a blurry or dark headshot can look unprofessional, suggesting that the details don't matter to you, you don't need to spend a fortune.

Your photo just needs to be clear, well-lit and professional enough to help someone feel they can trust you before they've even been in touch.

And this is something you can easily achieve with your camera on your phone.

You may be tempted to fill your website with all the information you can think of.

But, in reality, you really don't need ten pages.

Think about your potential clients, how they are feeling and the information they are looking for.

Home, About, Services, Fees and Contact covers most of what clients need to know.

If someone can't find what they're looking for in a couple of clicks, they'll leave and try someone else.

Simple, clear navigation isn't boring, it's respectful of your visitor's time and shows you know what you're doing.

When you are choosing the colour scheme for your counselling website, you can bet lost in a sea of colour palettes.

Our advice is to keep it simple.

Soft colours like blues and greens tend to feel calm and trustworthy, which is exactly what clients are looking for.

Bold or overly bright colours can feel jarring on a therapy website and may put people off before they've read anything.

Your colour palette sends a message before a single word is read.

When you are choosing the colour scheme for your counselling website, you can get lost in a sea of colour palettes.

Not sure which colours suit your practice? We can help you choose.
