Producing Fara Williams' episode for the AbsoluteLee Podcast was one of our highlights this year. Fara and Jason's frank discussion about making women's football more equitable sparked a lot of conversation, and it's strong voices like hers that drive the women’s game forward.

With the Lionesses on the cusp of making history for the second time in 14 months, it'll be interesting to see how decision-makers in sport respond to their success and adapt to create a more inclusive environment.

But first, let’s bring that trophy home. 🦁⚽️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

We always prioritise inclusion and collaboration in our work, so we loved workshopping with the Seen team, hearing from front-line organisations at Community Vision Days and listening to young people's insights at a powerful Theory of Change session during the branding process.

Co-creating with Seen's stakeholders was a fantastic experience and a great demonstration of Seen's equitable approach in action.

Seen is an evidence-led, insight-informed organisation and the team drew from their own lived experience and the close relationships they have with community organisations to establish one vital principle – children and young people of African, Asian and Caribbean heritage need to be recognised, respected and uplifted if we want to see real change.

For us, that meant developing art direction for the brand that represents the young people’s vitality instead of just their struggle. We paired joyful imagery with bold type, clean lines and bright, colourful accents to create a fresh aesthetic that conveyed positivity and aspiration.

Free Movement Skateboarding is a mobile skatepark that moves between refugee camps and local communities in Athens, offering children skate lessons. Many of these children are separated from all that's familiar, but skating helps them temporarily escape the realities of the refugee crisis. For a few hours, they can just focus on learning a fun, new skill that they can take with them, no matter how many other things in their lives change.

This project is a great example of how simple, focused ideas can have the greatest impact.❤️

Check out the video on their homepage, we promise it's worth the 15-minute watch.

Free Movement Skateboarding is a charity focusing on wellbeing, empowerment and gender equality for refugees in Athens through skateboarding.

The positive impact of empowering female sports fans cannot be overstated, because an environment that includes and welcomes women creates a ripple effect that extends far beyond the field.

Sporting role models inspire the next generation of female leaders and participation initiatives create a more diverse and dynamic sports culture. In turn, this culture becomes a shining beacon of what true equality and empowerment looks like.

When women have the access they need, things get better in sport, business and across all industries. This international women’s day, let’s uplift and amplify women’s voices. Let’s create spaces where they thrive. And let’s continue pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.

“Watford’s Ken Sema suffers with a stutter, but he bravely came out and did the post-match interview last night... ❤️ This will really help a lot of people. Anyone who suffers with a stammer knows how hard and deflating it can be. Brilliant ! 👏”
