Calling all PTs and fitness gurus! I bet your Calendars are pretty full right now, right? With the new year in full flow everyone is ready to kick those extra Christmas Lbs.

Don't forget this is a huge opportunity to get your brand noticed!! Why not make a quick educational post teaching your audience the right and wrong way to use things in the gym. Video format is often the best option as it gains a lot of reach, which naturally grows your brand awareness. If you don't have time to make a reel/video, try using a funny GIF like this one to grab their attention.

Have you found January busy this year? I'm genuinely interested to see if the January surge has decreased, increased or stayed the same since the pandemic? Let me know what you think in the comments. πŸ’πŸ‹οΈβ€β™€οΈ

What is the point though? I mean we all know how social media works, right? Just post daily pictures, throw a few hastags in for good measure and Bob's your uncle! ...... who's heard someone say this before? Because I have.....MANY times.πŸ€ͺ
The thing is, you have to understand what you're actually doing. Keeping up with platform features, hashtags, graphics etc, is just a small part of it. And yes, you're right, you can learn all this stuff online for free. But if you don't fancy trawling through thousands of tutorials that may or may not contain the specific information you need, and may or may not be that valid, then bespoke training could be the option for you.
Don't be shy, if social media training is something you think you could benefit from then I'm happy to help!

"STRATEGY"......it's a word that gets thrown around a lot on social media. But not without good reason!
Without the right strategy in place it will be hard to obtain the results you need to grow your business on social. And if you think you don't need to do that for your business, you're wrong! Having a strong presence on social media could be the difference between your small business being around and thriving in 5 years or simply disappearing into the abyss.
Strategy design is something I specialise in, so whether you'd like a free 30 min discovery call, or you'd just like to DM me any questions you have, don't hesitate to get in touch. πŸ“²
Where do you hope to be in 5 years? Let me know in the comments! ⬇️

Whilst for some Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year, for others it's the most stressful. And if you're running you're own business I know you know I'm right, RIGHT?!

So, how can you run a successful online business and yet still enjoy Christmas I hear you ask?! Here are some top tips on how to successfully take a break over the holidays!

1. Plan! Create, curate and schedule your content for the two weeks over Christmas.

2. Set a REASONABLE amount of time in your diary every day or two for interacting with your audience. That way you won't feel guilty on your family/friends/whoever you're spending the holidays with by checking your phone at dinner when they're trying to pull a Christmas cracker with you!

3. Have essential work/documents organised. If you are organised you will naturally be less stressed. And it also means you don't have to come back from your break to a mountain of mess!

4. Set expectations with your clients. And stick to them! If you give your clients plenty of notice and have a good cover plan in place they will have little to worry about.

5. Delete/Mute social and work-related apps. Just do it. We both know you'll be back to check these apps every 2 minutes before you know it and likely without even thinking about it if they're still on your phone. You can re-install them easily once your break is done and you are refreshed and ready to go!

Although your twitter following can seem like a bit of a vanity metric, you can't totally write it off.

Here's the thing......having a bigger following is a great signal that your audience are interested in your content and also gives you more authority in your industry.
Statistically nearly half of all marketers say Twitter is their first port of call for interacting with their customers.

But how do you get those all important followers? Try these 8 steps to Twitter success!

1. Tweet at least 3 times a day.
2. Optimise your posting time.
3. Post visual content as well as just copy.
4. Use relevant hashtags.
5. Engage with replies, retweets and any other interaction.
6. Make sure your profile is attractive to your target audience.
7. Identify followers within your network (sync your phone contacts with twitter).
8. Put your twitter account on other marketing/social platforms.

You're trying to grow your online following for your fitness business so you want to show people what you're capable of helping your clients achieve. The best way to do this is post nothing but transformation pictures of your clients, right? WRONG.
Whilst transformation pictures are a good way to show potential clients what they could achieve by working with you, they should only be PART of your social media strategy. There are many more reasons for and benefits to working out than just physical transformation, such as;

* Increase fitness levels
* Build strength
* Improve mental health
* Boost energy
* Combat health conditions/diseases
* Promote better sleep

So if all you're doing is shouting from the rooftops about how quickly you can transform someones body then you're excluding a huge percentage of your potential audience. Make sure you have thought about the relevant things that would interest your target audience and post about that stuff too!

If you need helping building a solid social media strategy, drop me a DM and we can arrange a free 30 minute discovery call! πŸ“³
