Hi all!

It's been a long while since I've posted on here (although, let's be honest, I've never been the best! πŸ˜…). 6 and a half weeks ago I lost my dad so I've been focusing on spending time with family and friends and managing the grieving process. I've been very fortunate to have lots of wonderfully supportive people around me and alongside that exercise has been a real saviour. This picture is me after my first ever Parkrun over the weekend and these days I seem to spend so much time working out that I barely buy normal clothes anymore! πŸ˜… Anyways, I'm hoping to get back to personal styling sometime in the new year but somehow I didn't feel quite right like going back to normal posting without acknowledging the reason behind this long gap.

Hope it's been a good Monday πŸ’•

Ps. For some reason I felt super nervous about writing this post πŸ™ˆ

My 3rd blog post is complete! πŸ₯³ I seriously underestimated how long these would take me to write πŸ€¦πŸ½β€β™€οΈ. This one is all about learning to love your body and I've shared my own journey to body confidence. I spent a long time feeling very self-conscious about my body shape and size. But over time I've learned to embrace it and focus more on what it does for me rather than what it looks like. If you're on your own body confidence journey I hope that the tips in this blog are helpful, no matter your shape or size ❀️ I would love for you to have a read and let me know what you think (link in bio)!

Episode 3 of my gorgeous friend Georgina's podcast, Inspiring Action with Georgina Axon, is out today!

Georgina’s mission is to reassure anyone feeling lost or stuck in their career that they are not alone – and to inspire them to take action to change their career story. Just like she is doing!

In this episode she speaks with the incredible Caroline Britton. Caroline left the corporate world 4 years ago after her body told her, in no uncertain terms, that enough was enough. She set up a coaching business, with no proof she could make it work.

Caroline now has a 7-figure coaching business, a team of 5 working with her – and she’s on a mission to make the world a better place and leave a legacy her children will be proud of.

Join Caroline as she shares her career story with Georgina.

Happy Black History Month! To mark the launch my workplace organised for a DJ to do an online set this afternoon. Cue some dancing (and a little bit of singing!) in front of my computer πŸ’ƒπŸ½πŸ˜‚

On the clothes front, I had this top specially designed (who I can 100% recommend!) to reflect a piece of me. Can anyone work out the significance of the design?!

Don't you love when you forget that you owned something, only to come across it when you're looking for something to wear for a special occasion! That's exactly what happened with this dress. I don't think I'd worn it for about 9 years but fortunately it still fits and I wore it to celebrate my gorgeous friend getting married πŸ₯³ So, the moral of this story is, before you rush out to buy a new outfit for a special occasion check out what's in your wardrobe first!

In other news, I hit 90kg on my deadlift πŸ’ͺ🏽 Next stop, 100kg!

Having darker skin means I struggle with hyperpigmentation and over the last 18 months I haven't really given my skin the care and attention it deserves. So I'm trying out some new products to see if they have an impact on the hyperpigmentation I currently have on one side of my face. specifically design their products for deeper skin tones and I bought the Vitamin C Serum and Rosewater Toner as part of my monthly (first Saturday of every month) purchase. I'm about a week into using them and love how they feel on my skin along with the moisturisers. Fingers crossed for some good results! 🀞🏽

For anyone who needs to hear this! I started a new job 3 weeks ago with much more responsibility. All I can say is that the learning curve has been steep 😬 Every working day in the last 3 weeks has been filled with moments of pure anxiety and I have to keep telling myself, "I can do this!" So whatever your challenge is at the moment, remember that you can do it! πŸ‘ŠπŸ½

What makes you happy? For me, one thing is exercise. Back at the start of April I had my first ever CrossFit session. I'll admit to being a bit sceptical at first. It was so different from any form of exercise I had ever done before and there were aspects of it that I really struggled with (weightlifting!). When I started doing group classes I would compare myself to everyone else and feel embarrassed because I was rubbish. Eventually I started to get into it and stopped caring how I was doing compared to everyone else. The only person I was in competition with was me! Now, I'm well and truly converted! After every session I feel amazing and am taking tiny steps forward. Yesterday I did a sumo deadlift for the first time and lifted 75kg! I didn't think for a second when I started in April that I'd be able to lift anywhere near that.

I'd love to know what makes you happy?

Hi all! I've finally written my second blog post πŸ₯³ 3 months later than I intended (mainly down to indecision about the topic and bouts of writer's block) but better late than never right?!

This one is all about creating a wardrobe you love! I'd appreciate any feedback and suggestions for future blogs.

Who here keeps clothes for sentimental reasons? πŸ™‹πŸ½β€β™€οΈ I've had this t-shirt for probably about 25 years. My grandad, who passed away in 2009, bought it for me on a holiday to Spain. I remember his travel partner telling me how much time he spent choosing it to make sure he picked out just the right thing for me ❀️ It's something I'll never part with and although it's a bit shorter on me than it used to be, maybe I can get away with wearing it as a cropped t-shirt πŸ€”

What's the most sentimental item of clothing you have?
