I used to be such a people pleaser (I'm still working on it) and would rarely say no as I would feel so bad 🤦🏻‍♀️

Instagram is one of the top used social media sites in the world and there are many ways to go about marketing your business on Instagram. Each business has a different game plan, but the fundamentals of a good account tend to stay the same across the board.

Here's a handy Instagram checklist you can use to ensure your Instagram profile is in tip-top shape to promote your business:

⚡️ Instagram name
Make sure the Instagram user is the name of your business and easy to find.

⚡️ Profile picture
Use the profile picture as a way to brand yourself. Make it simple, clean, and recognisable. A great way to do this is by using your company's logo.

⚡️ Instagram bio
Make your bio catchy and memorable. Be sure to explain what your business is about and add your own personal flare. Don't forget to include a link back to your website.

⚡️ Hashtags
Using hashtags is easy! Simply create hashtags using characters, numbers, or emojis; you can add up to thirty to the caption. Just remember — your account must be public for your posts to appear on hashtag feeds.

How do you choose which hashtags are best for each post? My best answer is by brainstorming related keywords and researching relevant trends, which is actually easiest within Instagram itself.

⚡️ Content
Organise your content ideas into topics or content “buckets”. Then consider how you’ll share them. Mainly photos? Videos? A Combination?
You will need to plan for posts on your Feed, and content for Instagram Stories.

⚡️ Engagement
Reply to comments, tweet back, and engage with your followers as much as possible. Simple interactions can go a long way, and they will make people more appreciative of your brand.

⚡️ Stories
Stories are one of the first things people see when they log into the app. Utilise this feature and advertise your newest post. Let your followers know that you posted and take a poll, or include an interactive feature to make it more fun.

An Instagram Shop lets you integrate your product catalog with your Instagram profile. In turn, this allows you to promote your products directly to Instagram users through posts, Stories, in the Explore tab, and in a special Shop tab on your profile.

Instagram marketing is essential to ecommerce businesses.
