This year’s International Women's Day 2026 theme is Give To Gain – and it made us reflect: What advice have we received that shaped us and our careers? And what advice would we give other women?
Statistics show that women’s careers are supported less than men’s and that they are underrepresented at every level of the corporate ladder. In 2025, for every 100 men who got promoted, the number of women was only at 93 and 74 (the latter referring to women of colour). Studies also show that fewer entry-level women express their desire to be promoted and that they are less likely to consider opportunities to be fair.*
The systematic imbalance won’t be fixed anytime soon. But we believe it’s important to keep having these conversations and for women to support and encourage each other.
