Time flies, doesn’t it? 🥳
We bid a fond farewell to CWO Aziz Bambie as he ages out after five remarkable years as a Cadet. Joining the organization in 2019 at 444 Squadron and later becoming a pivotal member of 329 Squadron, CWO Bambie has achieved what few others have.
As the first Cadet Warrant Officer the Squadron has had in over a decade, CWO Bambie set an exceptional standard for excellence, dedication, and leadership. Over the years, he has achieved incredible milestones, including serving as a Deputy Lieutenant’s Cadet, representing LW at the Menin Gate in Belgium, completing his RMTL qualification, and forming a squadron band (and then achieving 3rd place six weeks later at Wing Field Day!) — to name just a few. CWO Bambie has sought to take part in almost all activities available to him, and in summer of 2023 even managed to be away every single week on a cadet activity!
In addition to his own achievements, CWO Bambie has been instrumental in developing the NCO team, helping them grow into the best versions of themselves, and no matter the task or challenge, he has done it all with a smile, bringing positivity and energy to everyone around him.
His journey has been nothing short of inspirational to cadets and staff alike; the squadron is grateful for his contributions, leadership, and unwavering commitment. We are excited to see CWO Bambie transition into the staff team, where he will no doubt continue to make a positive impact.
Thank you, CWO Aziz Bambie, for everything you have done for 329 Squadron and the wider RAF Air Cadets.
