Recently completed commission for my good friends over at Bank Kings for their angling based brand - including a Youtube banner for their upcoming channel and both a custom typeface and logo

I tried to go for something a little different for the logo - tying to the brief still but going for something that would catch eye and differentiate the guys from the other fishing channels. Although it took a lot of work to get the card not only mirrored but also completely identical & overlapping on both flipped sides, I'm really happy with the result and think that the hard work payed dividends

For the typeface I stuck with a more traditional design and made sure to incorporate the angling theme, utilising both negative space and angling based imagery to solidify the selling point of the brand

Decided to do something a little different for my sisters birthday this year and created her a logo and some branding materials for her female plumbing business Plumb on Eileen

I merged classic plumbers imagery and elements of the costumes worn by Dexys Midnight Runners to create this logo, and then used some new techniques to try and give an embossed effect for the company name in the encompassing seal. I'm really happy with how it came out and with how well received this was as obviously it was very close to home

Apologies all for the lack of content recently, due to ongoing technical issues I haven't been able to get any work out for a while now but I'm still working hard to get it sorted and show you the projects I have been working on, hopefully sooner rather than later✌🏼

A little late posting this one, but here is my poster for this years St Agnes and St Piran Rotary Club Garden Concert

The feedback last time was extremely positive, with the client really appreciating the general style & the wealth of Cornish imagery that was included. To that end, they asked for a updated version for this year, and with it being held during the Summer months a Cornish beach holiday seemed a fitting theme

To fit with the theme I have included the classic bucket and spade, along with the mandatory sand castle, with this one shaped as one of Cornwall most famous castles, Pendennis, and topped with the Cornish flag

I also incorporated a beach picnic, of course featuring the classic Cornish pasty and plated atop a beach towel of Cornish tartan. Of course this has attracted the attention of one greedy Herring Gull, the most abundant gull on the Cornish coast, who is looking to get himself a nibble!

The feedback again this year was wonderful & it was a pleasure to aid in the Rotary's charitable collection for Help for Heroes Official & Headway Cornwall

I've been a bit quiet recently as I've been having a bit of a hard time with one of the main components of the control box part of my mask build

Unfortunately the mechanism that I need is unobtainable at the moment (theyre either far too large for my working area, or about 2 grand 😅) so I'm having to CAD design and 3D print an analogue mechanical part to be powered by a small rotary motor, which will hopefully give me the action thats required. As you can imagine it's quite an irritating and tedious process of design, print, test, repeat

In the meantime however, I have at least managed to get a technical drawing for the electronics sorted, which runs perfectly in simulations and save for a few minor tweaks is now finalised

I've also crafted a stand for the mask out of some 20mm pipe that is structurally complete and finished work on my "Oxygen Pumps", so the final parts are at least now coming together 🙌🏼

The mask part of my build is finally complete 🙌🏼

So chuffed to finally have this all sorted and really happy with how it's come out. Today I finished off the weathering on the 'leather' parts of the mask, as well as adding and weathering the lenses for the goggles and night vision attachment

Its a big relief to finally have this sorted and be able to fully focus on the electronics side of the build. Looking forward to sharing that with you soon

It's been a busy few days working on getting the weathered leather texture on the mask, which is coming along nicely save for a little bit of dry brushing to get the final finish

I've mainly been working on practicing my 3D modelling skills which has meant that I've been able to print bespoke parts for the electronics based side of the build, including my 'Oxygen Scrubbers' which is made of a motorised fan head and some custom parts for the casing

Tomorrow I'm hoping to have the entirety of the mask complete, as well as a basic layout and test run of the base/control box 🤞🏼

I finished up the painting of the goggle mounts and respirators today and I'm really glad how things are starting to take shape. I haven't mounted the respirators fully yet as I want to age the material part of the mask to tie in with the metal elements before I commit to everything being set in place

I've still got the final part of the night vision scope to add too, and will do so once I have the lens in place. This will also give me a chance to get the main lenses in too and age them slightly

More detailing and finishing today, alongside with some other projects that I'm currently working on. Tomorrow I've just got 2 small parts to finish and then all of the elements of the mask are painted completely

Next I'm on to stage 3 of the build, the electronics, wiring and programming - excited to get this next stage Underway
