I often ask CEO's what is their ultimate goal is for the business by engaging in Marketing and PR. Often what is said, is to sell more stuff (whatever that maybe).

Selling more stuff might sound like the ultimate goal, but it's NOT a marketing strategy.

When I first started in marketing it was quoted that a customer had to have 7 touch points with your brand before engaging and now it is more like 14 times.

So building it isn’t enough to make them visit you. You have to make sure you are making people aware of your dreams too.
